I am a Car and Gun Nerd who has became a Chainsaw Nerd in a bad way. I love this channel It's one of the best out there. As I have started the process of clearing 20 wooded acres by myself this channel has been both entertaining and informative. It has helped me stay safe and alive which is the ultimate end goal. As of today I have a 550XP/16in with diy muffler mod, 562Xp/20in a HT250 pole pruner and now a MS 500I/25in. After watching this I think I need to get the 562xp ported. Why? because chainsaws are cool, but modified ones are cooler. I'm in the south eastern Appalachians so the trees are not huge, but none are on flat ground . To Buckin. Any chance you want to do a video in NC? I know where a couple hurricane downed trees are still ;). free accommodations and travel on me if you decide you want to do something crazy.

Dad logged most of his life, always had the biggest McCullough or Homelite made. Then he was introduced to Jonsereds at a local Logging congress. He used that 80 for years… he then made the switch to the Huskies and stuck with them to the end. Ran an 1100 for years. The last 10-12 years it favorite was a Husky 162 with heated handles. 90% of the time with an 18 inch bar and a 28 inch if he had to make a large cut but really liked the 18. He always said he liked a bar that if your hands hung down the tip of the bar never reached his feet. He’s gone but we still have his saw….

For some of us guys there’s something about running a chainsaw and doing manual labor that clears the mind and makes you feel like a man that’s changing the world for the better. I bought a brand new Stihl 046 magnum in 9/99 while I was still building houses and clearing land. I’ve still got that saw and it looks and runs like a brand new one. Put a west coast Bark Box and some nasty looking felling dogs on it not because it needed it but because it turns me on. My wife thinks I’m crazy and wasting money but it makes me happy. I’m retired now but I’m just waiting for a tree to give me a good reason to break out that Magnum!!! On a more personal note I hope your Dad is okay and enjoy his company while you have him.
