As a German, I can confirm, we have at least one polish guy in nearly every german village. All Poles I've met in Gemany until now, have been very nice people, so that's a win, I guess. Needless to say, that a lot of Germans, especially a lot in the Ruhr area, have polish ancestry... In Central Europe, we all are more related, than hate groups like PiS and AfD can bear...

I use yyyy-mm-dd always with leading zero's. It SORTS correctly. when having to use the Month/Day/Year or Day/Month/Year formats, use the 3 letter month abbreviations instead of numbers. No confusion when it gets read and interpretted.

I had to fix someone's card machine which kept 'jumping around months' and showing up on accounts as fraud. They were trying to reset it but it just rejected the date. I just had to go into settings and change it from 'American Format' to 'Global Format.' The day was above 12 so the machine would not accept it as a month input.
