Not surprised the half Nelson was the quietest as it has the most volume. The HB is a smidge thinner and the sandman is really thin and short (without the keymo).

OG Rattler ftw. Coincidence how we both run the half Nelson on our rattler. Originally I wanted the mcx tacops but specifically in 300BO so I went with the rattler and running the virtuous concepts XTN adapter to bridge the mcx 10" handguard to run mine suppressed under the handguard. For optics I'm running a sig romeo for now until I can save up for an aimpoint. But it's sitting on a hydra mount with the DBAL

Both platforms are amazing! When I got into that platform I think the Rattler was just barely out, I wanted the Honey Bader but at that time they did not offer a brace so you had to get the Honey Badger SBR and I did not want to wait to potential NFA time, so I purchased a Q Sugar Weasel then did a Honey Badger conversion with Q Shorty Stock and Thunder Chicken, did a Form 1 SBR and its was approved in 30-days, was going to swap the trigger but the OEM Trigger is honestly as good as any high performance trigger, Q might be posh and snobby but holly cow do they make good products, topped it off with an EOTech EXPS3-0 and laser.

Good comparison of all 3 platforms. I honestly found it hilarious when you said you don't have a lot of 300bo ammo because the rounds are pricey. But yet you have probably close to $10k in 3 rifles.😂 I went the cheaper route and built out my own 300bo rifle but yeah buying the ammo always hurts my wallet.

@vltraviolence7640Ай бұрын
Price difference?
@baptistgaming917 ай бұрын
For my 7.5 PDW i run 5.56 simply because its cheaper to practice with. Yeah it sacrifices energy and typical 5.56 ammo doesn't perform so well. But for defensive use TSX loadings can make between 800 to 850 pounds of energy out of the 7.5. Thats about what a 10.5 5.56 makes with mil spec ammo. 300 blk is overall better and more versatile, but most just can't spend the cash to train with is regularly.
@msquared96057 ай бұрын
I’m not knocking your build, but there are more potential issues with 5.56 out of shorter barrel than just energy. You also have to think about reliable expansion of the projectile. Even more so with copper because they typically need a higher impact velocity to expand reliably
@baptistgaming917 ай бұрын
@@msquared9605 I know you're not knocking it. And for most projectiles you are right. TSX is any grain will expand in a 7.5 between 75 yards with the 50 grain and up to about 125 yards with the 75 grain. That's from Barnes themselves. Dr. Gary roberts tested the 50 grain out of a 8 inch barrel and found the wound cavity almost identical to the one produced by the 20 inch rifle. Somehow the TSX loads make unusually high velocity in short barrels. People have clocked the 50 grain at over 2700 in the 7.5 inch barrel. 7.5 5.56 can be an effective PDW. It just needs very specific and expensive projectiles to do it. But the benefit is you can still use the cheap ammo to train with while only buying a few boxes of the 2$ per round stuff for self defense.
@msquared96057 ай бұрын
@@baptistgaming91 good deal at least you know your shit 🤙🏼 Me personally I went with an 8.5 300blk for my “pdw/home defense/truck gun/ranch or woods gun” been loving that especially since I got it paired up with my first suppressor
