I made this recipe but cut some things to make it for calorie friendly and lower the sugar content and it was still amazing. I skipped the butter completely, used one tbsp of avocado oil and one tbsp of sesame oil, 2 tbsps of low sodium soy sauce, kepts honey the same but skipped adding the brown sugar, garlic and Dijon same as recipe and then a tbsp of siracha sauce for a nice kick. You cut over ~200 calories and it still tastes great. Hope this helps!

I took it out then added freshly sliced green onions. I poured some of this sauce over my reheated salmon. I made rice and broccoli as a side and MY OH MY!!!! I made the salmon today and it was really good! Changes I made: I used salmon with skin, seasoned with salt and pepper on both sides, then sprinkled potato starch and pan-fried it in a tiny bit of olive oil (skin side first: about 3 minutes each side, depending on the thickness). In the meantime I brought the sauce to a boil (omitted butter and sugar, replaced oilve oil with half sesame oil/half avocado oil) and let it simmer to thicken it a bit, then just put the salmon into the sauce. This way the skin got crispy but the salmon still had the nice sauce flavor.

Highly recommend making this! My family and I greatly enjoyed it, however, I used too many lemon slices underneath so the sauce was overpowered by citrus. I used 4 thick salmon pieces on high broil and it took a little longer than 15 minutes. I wanted a nice brown top and was judging by internal temp of at least 145 and flakiness. I used hot dijon mustard and omitted the red pepper flakes. At any rate, this is a delicious recipe. Thank you for sharing it!

Made it this afternoon -- hubs is not a fish lover (we have a local butcher that smokes salmon, and I got him turned onto that, but it was becoming very costly). Found some salmon on sale at Aldi, and tried your recipe (let me tell you first off, he was leery as all get out about me cooking it as opposed to buying it already cooked :( ). You made him a convert (and it cost less than half the cost of butcher smoked). We don't do spicy hot, so I omitted the red pepper flakes, and I forgot to get lemons, so I used an orange, and he cannot have seeds, so I used plain yellow mustard) -- broiled it for 10, basted, and broiled 4 more minutes. Superb, and hubs had one and a quarter pieces! Thank you!!!

ma. carmela angela avanceña personally, it wouldn’t upset me...after all, it’s the taste that’s most important. ❤I have made Claudia’s salmon, Many times-Especially during the lockdowns, when going to a restaurant was not possible…I believe Claudia’s Broiled Salmon is restaurant quality flavor. I agree When Claudia says it’s the perfect marinade. I serve it with Curry Spiced Cous cous and top everything off with finely chopped fresh Cilantro. Place it on a simple white plate and my broiled Salmon looks beautiful was easy to prepare and tastes delicious. Thank you Claudia for sharing this recipe God Bless You❤

I've been scrolling for the same reason. What temprature and how long did you guys cook it for?
@britneyterrell74404 жыл бұрын
I did mine on broil low which was 450 degrees . 10 minutes then take out to spoon more juices over the salmon and broil for an additional 5 minutes. Perfect every time.

You burned the garlic, but looks amazing. I know a good technique is to sauté the garlic and leave it aside, and in the last 8-10 min depending on temp you sprinkle the minced or cut garlic on it

Love, love, love this recipe! I just used it on my salmon and cooked it in my Air Fryer! It really soaked into the fish and complemented it so well. I did add some cayenne pepper to my mixture for extra heat. Thank you again!

How did you do it in the air fryer? And did the sauce burn?

Hi Claudia, I found your salmon recipe by chance. Oh! My God! What a divine meal! And so easy to prepare! My wife (80) fell in love again with me (82). I ad cubes of three apples during cooking, and it’s fine. Accompanied with a bottle of Pinot Grigio french wine. The whole package! Thank you. I’ll visit your website again and again. (From Quebec)
