Please, more of this. Why do you now rinse the filter? Updated Kalita vid? I’m finding that lower water temp helps sweeten the brew. I, too, enjoy naturally-processed beans as well.

I'm gonna do a broad update vid for the channel shortly I think ... will try to this weekend. To your Kalita question. I rinse now yes. I had started to notice a difference in the filters, where originally i did thorough testing showing rinsing was unnecessary (years ago), I then started seeing a difference there. Contacted Kalita and discovered they had changed the equipment the filters were manufactured on (possibly new factory or something) ... they wouldn't give me details, but I just accepted it at that and proceeded with rinsing (and I like the result better rinsing now).

do you really notice a difference with that Airscape? I have one but only use it when Ive bought too many bags at once. So like if I have 3 bags i keep 2 in original bags and one on the container because it might be more than 2 weeks before I use it.

I haven't done a robust storage test with the airscape as part of it. I know from tests in the past that airtight and opaque containers produce the best result (not including freezing for long term). But what I don't know beyond my personal sense of things is how opening/closing has an impact. My personal sense from using it is that if I do have coffee for a long period of time (4+ weeks) then I want it in the airscape over the bag it came in, and that the airscape is optimal over an opaque jar for example (because the airscape removes most of the excess air space). Also it's just a nice container.
