STUNNING quilt in the background behind you. Also going to make some of these mug rugs as they are very good for gifts as well. Your daughter is also talented like her mum. Love this fabric range...And think it is a must have for me

What a sweet video, your daughter is so lucky to have such a warm, beautiful and creative mother! I am so sorry I didn't catch this video until now, the fabrics are so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! It was so very kind of you to share this pattern for free! I absolutely love it! I've been looking for some quick and easy ways to whip up some potholders and it looks like it would be pretty simple to make some with your technique, so clever!! Btw, for anyone who might want to know what ruler you used, was it from Marti Mitchell? I think I recognize the logo on in.

+Craftin Kate Thank you for your sweet comment! Yes, the ruler is from Marti Michell and you can learn more about it here: www.maxiemakes.com/shop/hexagon-ruler-by-marti-michell And yes, the mug rugs would make great pot holders!

Thank you! And I did download the pattern, can hardly wait to give this a whirl!

+Craftin Kate I'm so sorry that I overlooked your sweet comment! Yes, the ruler I used is Marti Michell's, but any hexagon ruler would work the same way. I do love all her rulers, though! Thank you for your comment.

Oh, no worries at all and I do love all her rulers too. Thanks so much! I made a few of these for Christmas and just love them!

That was great where do I find fabric and matching mug .tha video disappears so fast
@myquiltshop7 жыл бұрын
Hello, Eleonore! Thanks for your comment. The mugs are here: www.society6.com/bonniechristine and the fabric is here: www.astitchintimenc.com/shop/Fabric/Bonnie-Christine.htm Look at the mugs first and then choose the fabric because a few prints are no longer available. Most of the fabrics are in Bonnie's "Sweet as Honey" and "Winged" collection.

Maxine--hello friend! Its Laurie (Georgia ;-) and I wanna know what kind of glue is that you are using? I made one this morning and they are so fun and fast! I could make these all day today! I have regular school glue, but I want some fancy glue like you have. And that IRON!! It looks like a spaceship--never seen one like it! I bet it is awesome!

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Do you have a pattern or video of the quilt in the background?
@myquiltshop10 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Linda! Yes! We have a pattern as a free download here: www.artgalleryfabrics.com/projects/images/Sentimentalities_WEBFINAL.pdf And, yes, I have already made the tutorial video for this quilt as well and it will be released after Christmas! Watch for that on my blog. It will also be announced on the Maxie Makes facebook page, so if you like that you'll be sure to know when it's released.

I love this video!. What size is your hexagon ruler? The biggest i can find is 6 inches, yours looks bigger than that.
@myquiltshop7 жыл бұрын
Tina, the hexagon ruler is 4.5", which means that the edge is about 4.75". I used the "Multiple Size Hexagon Ruler" by Marti Michell. Hope that helps!

please identify the type of batting you're using.
@myquiltshop6 жыл бұрын
Cheryl, typically I use Hobbs 80/20, but because of the canvas layer inside, I believe any batting with a high amount of cotton (or 100% cotton) would work. I wouldn't use polyester because it can be flammable. Hope that helps!
