After my dad died, I had sent Harland a message on Instagram. My dad had always been a big Harland fan. Huge fan of his absurd style of comedy. Took me to see Rocket Man... The Harland Williams' Rocket Man. Not the Elton John's Rocket Man. Anyway, I never expected a reply. I just wanted him to know that my dad loved his jokes. Harland replied with the most heart warming replies ever. It made me cry. At the end he said "When you laugh. That's your father's laugh." I cried a little at my dad's funeral. But that reply Harland sent me had me wailing in tears. He's a funny guy. Yes. But he's also very, very deep. I've got tears in my eyes writing this comment, thinking about his sweet reply.

Listen to the Harland Highway, possibly the silliest podcast of all time. You could spend years listening to all the episodes. And by that I mean the _old_ Harland Highway that was audio only. He did that one for a long long time, and it still holds up. It's complete improv silliness, not about topical news events. So it still holds up.

The story about the owl taking the chihuahua is absolutely terrible and devastating. So I've just returned to the wilds of Ontario from living in London UK for 14 years, and I've brought my 5 year old, 7lb, chihuahua home with me. So he's out in the backyard one night and guess what's up in the tree; a flipping owl licking his beak staring at my chihuahua!! Last week we had a hawk hanging out in the tree just waiting for him. Needless to say he can piss on my floor after sunset. Thanks for this awesome podcast Ryan!

Owls peck the back of their preys head to kill it instantly. They seem big because of their feathers. But, without them they're rather small. So they kill their prey right away to avoid wrestling with it. This is to avoid potentially getting hurt; or, damaging a wing. IE the owl most likely killed the puppy :( quickly. Hope that makes someone feel a 'bit' better ...
@clevermissfox2 жыл бұрын
Also when they pick it up, their talons often pierce the prey and it dies before it knows what happened. That’s prob where the blood came from. RIP fisherman Bob.
