My mom once accidentally threw away 500$ in our hotel room. We checked out and got to the mall to do Christmas shopping when she finally realized. She called and they'd already cleaned the room. One of the employees got in the dumpster and dug through garbage to find my moms money and they totally saved Christmas.

Went to Arlington for my grandfather's funeral. Was a huge deal, gun salute and fly over. That trip was when my family sat me down and explained our families history and how it mixes with America. The older generations proudly claimed that my family has fought in ever American conflict since the revolution. I'm the first generation not capable of joining the military. Glad the older generation is all gone and I don't have to hear them calling me a pos lol

I grew up an Orthodox Jew, and have my regular synagogue I’ve gone to my whole life, but I would visit different ones when traveling or for a performance.We also have an eternal flame in each , and three different synagogues I visited for the first time, the eternal flame went out 🫣 most are electronic now, but it sorta freaked me out lol

Man the uno story reminds me of Jr high when we had a study period and played spoons at the end of the day. It was 8th grade so nobody gave a shite anymore but people staring picking up chairs and fighting on the ground over a spoon. Teacher almost gets hit by a chair eventually and then no more gambling/cards/games at school anymore
