I love this animatic not only because the amazing animation and art, but because they don’t reveal themselves at the end. It’s more realistic to the actual show (dispite it being fiction). It plants the vision in my head how this could actually happen, and I love that. @@LilY-kg1lj okay, I had my head phones while I was drawing myself and him in the future getting married lol. I draw it in anime style and it's so obvious that it was me and him because of his hair. I didn't know he was behind me and he was staring at it. Coz hey! I thought everyone was gone because it the class dismissed a while ago. His face was literally Cat Noir in this animatic and then he came closer to me without me even knowing it and he took my headphones off and said, "That looks good, can I bring it home and frame it?" And my face heat up like I don't know what happened to me and I suddenly punched him in the face. Ahhhhhhhhhgggg I stuttered and rambled a lot at that day. "L you, I--I -I sksnbdaklslsxnsb I'm Ims so srro sorry! Ahhh djdjsnsnsmaa" like that. It was embarrassing but he became my bestfriend after that lol, Sjssksksksks

Why does this still work so well in this context?! In fact, I feel it works BETTER in this context!! Because while yes, it's still character A masquerading how he feels about character B whilst trying to play it off like character C said it, i feel it works better here. Evan's wording can sometimes seem a bit romantic and sappy, not like something Connor would say to his sister that he -probably- abused. But seeing as now it's Chat saying this stuff as if Adrien said it, not only does it seem more genuine and true, but it's ACTUALLY convincing that he would say this. It's obvious that Adrien likes Marinette, so using Chat as a kind of loophole to still tell her how he feels is GENIUS!! Way better than how Evan tried to disguise his feelings as stuff Connor said; that just didn't feel right. Anyway, let's put down the story analytical side of Sam and focus on the video itself....I love it. Your style kind of reminds me of Emirichu's (which I also adore, so brownie points for you), and the subtle glances and facial changes are so telling even without being fully in motion! That's why I always give animatics a chance. There's always gonna be that ONE in the sea of other, crappy cash-ins trying to gain popularity from making an animatic, that is genuinely, unapologetically FANTASTIC. And I think I found a new one to add to that list.

Both works well. Dear Evan Hansen is supposed to be sad and tragic and the characters don't know what to do (especially Evan since he has social anxiety). In miraculous its also good in the sense that it is more happy :)
