Some people were a bit confused and I didn't really make it clear so I'll explain here! Adrien and Kagami aren't dating. Marinette assumes Adrien likes Kagami and because Kagami likes Adrien, Marinette thinks they'll end up together. So no, Adrien isn't cheating (unlike the au version in my First Burn animatic) I hope that clears things up! :)

I never though about it but this song actually fits them so well specially from Chat's point of view.When he says "I never though there would be someone like you who would want me" you have to think about Ladybug who never accepted his love (ironic in this situation) and also about his dad and family situation. Next we have "So I give you ten thousand reasons to not let me go" as we all know Adrien just wants to be loved and have some of his father attention and love so he does everything he is asked (classes, piano, grades, fencing, mandarin) but even then its never enough. The next line also fits him exceptionally well "But if you really see me, If you like me for me and nothing else, Well, that's all that I've wanted for longer that you could possibly know" Adrien is a famous model and has all these girls who would do anything to date him but none of them know the real him and he probably at some point has had trouble understanding who actualy cares for him and who is in it just for the fame. On the other hand here is Marinette who as we saw in the first episode didn't like Adrien until she saw how kind he actually is. As Chat he gets to be who he really wants whitout his fathers rules and Marinette fell for that so to him that is a huge deal.

OKAY SO! You opened my eyes to this ship. I know it's everyone's favorite but it never quite got my attention until I saw your version. The way you have Marinette talk to him easily and be herself and open, honest, upfront with her feelings and how he gets to feel someone showing affection for who he really is and saying they appreciate him is what each of them currently can't do for the person they like. Marinette can't talk to adrien and cat noir is constantly being rejected by lady bug but here they are what they want to be for each other!
