Thanks Adam! We love Dunedin. We're from PA and closing in on retirement. We have several friends and family there. Hoping to get to Dunedin on a more permanent basis soon! Big fan of both of your YT channels! 'Keep on truckin'!'

I'm a Florida Native as well. The worst I have ever seen mosquitos (including the Okefenokee swamp) was at Sugarloaf key in the Florida keys. In my experience Mosquitos don't like direct sunlight away from the forest. At Sugarloaf key you got your own personal cloud no matter where you were. A truck came around 4 times a day to spray but it did nothing. I read one of the brochures and it said a long time ago someone brought bats in to eat the mosquitos. The bats disappeared soon after, the locals said the mosquitos ate the bats.

My wife and I own a condo on the main land just off the causeway. Been in the family since it was built, sometime in the mid '70s. Dunedin has changed a lot since then (We have been going there since about 1980) but the main part of town is still great. They have an open air market on the weekends and lots of quaint little shops. If ever get back down that way, there is a great little breakfast place right there at the corner of the Causeway and 19A, called Benedict's. The serve more than Breakfast, but that is when we typically visit. If I had known you were going, I would have warned you about the mosquitoes. Those blood-suckers are everywhere after it rains!

I landed on your channel by way of a search for a State Park in Louisiana. I have thoroughly enjoyed your travels in Florida and especially this Dunedin trip. I've lived in Florida since 89 and have made several day trips. I haven't yet made it to Dunedin but I have plans to get there soon. You two are so much fun and you highlight the parts of town that I'd like to see. Your meals at Old Bay Cafe looked incredible!! I hope I be able to make up my mind on what to order. Lol. Stay safe. Be well.

I’m so glad you got to visit Dunedin (Din Eden)! Did you know you can park your camper in the parking lot at the beach? No overnight camping but great to have all your amenities for a day at the beach. The lobster rolls at the Honeymoon Island pavilion are to die for too. Right across from Natures Food Patch is the little seafood restaurant & fish market I mentioned in your Clwr video comments. You’ve got to come back. Btw, the rocks you saw on the beach are mostly limestone. You may have noticed the signs for our other secret spot, the second island called Caladesi. You can only get there by boat but there is a ferry you can take. Caladesi Island has been voted the #1 beach over & over & over. It also is natural, secluded and very laid back. It looked like we’d had some good rains before you walked the trail so, yes, the mosquitoes will be extra thick at that time and that early in the day after rains. Dawn & dusk they will pick you up and carry you away. Dunedin is a golf cart friendly city. I wish we knew you were here as I’d taken you around on the cart. Coulda done a pub or brewery crawl. Also want to tease you by letting you know you only scratched the surface of our downtown area, lots more shops and art. We are a Celtic city so at any given time except summer (June,July, Aug) you will see the bagpipers in full clan regalia playing on the streets or in the Irish Pub. We have one of the largest St Paddy’s Day festivals as well as a stellar Mardi Gras. That’s unique and exciting. Our local high school pipe band beat out even the Europeans in competition for the elite top spot. We locals call it “Delightful Dunedin” and happy to call it home. Maybe we’ll see you on the road one day. We are the Airstream with the big American flag. Safe travels and happy 🏕

When I was a kid, our Boy Scout troop took a boat out to Honeymoon Island to plant trees. This was the mid 1970s.The idea was that enough trees would hold the soil against the hurricanes. Seems like it worked.
