@@Pepejepip An animation meme is for people to copy and make their own (they're not tracing it and recolouring it). On the other hand an animation or AMV (animated music video) like here, isn't made to make your own version of it. Do you understand it a bit better now? Like for example, there are many honey pie animation memes and people who do them all have similar animations. People who make AMVs have kinda different schemes(?) and cuptoast would like people to view their work more as an AMV than as an animation meme. They also hope no one references it too heavily!

Well it does mean that, but what she meant is the other meaning of a meme, they call it an animation meme. Ita basically someone start of with an animation and others will somewhat copy it and make it a little different. Its like the Hi Herbert meme. People take it and put some personal flare to it, and its not considered stealing content.

animation memes usually are directly copied from the source and crumb just wanted this to be an animation work, not a trend other will copy. Of course others can still use the music and make animations with it but crumb does not want other specifically copying aspects from her animation and it becoming an animation meme.
