📜 Lyrics
Harpy Hare
Where have you buried all your children?
Tell me so I say
Harpy Hare
Where have you buried all your children?
Tell me so I say
All the arrows that you've stolen
Split in half, now bum and broken
Like your heart that was so eager to be hid
You can't keep them all caged
They will fight and run away
Mother, tell me so I say
Harpy Hare
Where have you buried all your children?
Tell me so I say
Harpy Hare
Where have you buried all your children?
Tell me so I say
Forest walls and starry ceilings
Barren curtains that you're weaving
Like the stories that you keep inside your head
She can't keep them all safe
They will die and be afraid
Mother, tell me so I say
(Mother, tell me so I say)
Harpy Hare
Where have you buried all your children?
Tell me so I say
Harpy Hare
Where have you buried all your children?
Tell me, so I say

Harpy Hare
Where have you buried all your children?
Tell me so I say
Harpy Hare
Where have you buried all your children?
Tell me so I say!
(Tell me so I say!)

She can't keep them all caged
They'll be far and fly away
Mother, tell me you will stay
We'll be far and fly away

I never got to see that perspective on "Soldier Poet King." Pretty early on I realized it was a song about Jesus, being that it isn't talking about 3 different people, it's describing 3 aspects of one person. (this isn't a headcanon btw. the song soldier poet king is about the coming of Christ/the messiah, and directly references prophecies from the bible)

I want to say this, since it seems a lot of people might not know. When a hare or wild rabbit has a litter of kits, she will burry them in the ground. This will not kill them, as they have pockets of air inside. This is for protection from predators. So in this song the lyric "Where have you buried all your children?" doesn't necessarily imply that she buried their dead bodies.

Have asked about those other designs before as they've appeared on their twitter too - apparently those are the Harkers, separate characters who the Lark (the kids) put on performances dedicated to with masks reminiscent of them. Also, apparently the Lark are the only humans. I am not sure whether the Lark means all children or just this specific group, though.

I am a 23 year old man from South Sudan, I have spent most of my life in a continuous war, it was a normal day 2 weeks ago as I was fighting. Then, the Sudanese fighters played this absolute masterpiece, we then began to all put down our guns and dance to this lyrical masterpiece. Thank you, sir. For Peace this song changed my life. My entire view of everything that exists in this world, in fact, even in the entire universe. I can never look at anything I know the same way again. This song represents emotions that most humans could never understand. But I can. Thanks to this song I was awakened to many things previously considered unimaginable. Thank you for this exquisite song. This video is an exquisite masterpiece, out of every single video I have ever even heard of on the entire platform, this by far has enlightened me to do fly, lose 90 pounds and even become the president of the United States, and I'm going to tell you why this is such a masterpiece as if hearing the creators, no, god of this universes luscious voice. I would like to express my thanks to you. My gratitude for your indisputably magnificent assistance is almost infinite. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. I really like your contribution that you have in our society, you really make a difference and help others out, the world could always use more people like you. Gosh, what a polite and humble fellow. It is such a kind honour for someone as low as me to be in contact with someone of a level such as yours. I thank you once again my good friend. A world without you, would be a world I would not be able to live in, and I believe I share that opinion with most people. I can rest easy tonight knowing you helped. I appreciate you and everything you stand for and on behalf of everyone on planet earth, thanks. Yes I 100% agree no lie I am 10/10 with you in this statement no question. You are completely absolutely correct and have made no mistake in your sentence whatsoever and I applaud you for that as you have made a thoughtful statement that many agree with and those that disagree are in the minority because your statement has absolutely no faults and thus is completely without a question correct and deserves nothing but agreement. and by the way, this is a very powerful, moving song that showcased the capabilities of human emotion. It used groundbreaking technology to create stunning sounds that would mesmerize the listeners. This song is suitable for all ages; whether you're 5 years old, or 50, you should listen to this song. It is inspiring and it showcases the spectrum of human nature and how humans communicate with each other. This song revolutionized the music industry and set the bar high for other songs. In the future historians will look back on this song and regard it as the pinnacle of human achievement. It was a roller-coaster from start to finish, the nail-biting song will leave you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Listeners will find themselves absorbed by the heartwarming tale of a relentless, determined peoples who didn't let societies standards shape his/her/it's life. I was shocked by how intense and gripping this song was. The plot is rich, unpredictable and touching. This isn't your typical african war song, this song is a war with one's emotions. This song is a stirring masterpiece that only comes once in a millennium. This thrilling instruments makes it a jaw-dropping performance that properly utilizes the medium. I rate this song 10 african tribes/10 african tribes, and will never listen to it again as every time I get saddened by the the fact that there will never be a song to match this masterpiece.

... I just realized... Its a song about overprotective mothers... As mentioned by other commentors, rabbits burry their kids deep in their burrows as a means f protecting them... Like some mothers do when they experienced something traumatic (first hand or second hand). They sometimes even hide truths to prevent their kids from questioning their decisions... Sooner or later those kids will demand the truth and the world "Tell me so I say" and so... Will fly away from the nest so to speak "The cage..." ... And either become harpies themselves or give birth to harpies in the long run, sometimes continuing this cycle of generational trauma... Its a stretch but there are sociological patterns of parenting styles of the helicopter parents post war to laissez-faire parenting (TV education) in the 60s then back again so on so forth as in our period its laissez-faire now with Ipads... Edit: After reading the comments below, Let me clarify that this is just MY OWN interpretation of the song... It seemed I missed the mark as the song is about a retelling of a children's tale... But then again fairytales are children's version of cautionary tale. I am still waiting to know what the tale is... Kinda hoping that the scholarly interpretation of the tale might hit the mark, but then again it might be a tale on the class of "Stay away from strangers" type like Red Riding hood (Forgot what's the name of the type, Jon Solo discussed this before but I forgot the specifics) if I believed what the other commenter said about this being skinwalkers... I don't have a TikTok so I can't verify. I might forget about this soon so if any of you can share the specifics of the source material retold in this song, let me know... I only get shit if Yt algorithm gods had pity on me...

it’s not, actually the children in the story aren’t literally representing a child. But instead the stories, the stories buried by time and they are eager to tell them to the world. This story in general it’s about that and I think they confirmed it over on tik tok Edit: Yall really can’t read huh (the ones repliying) the author has said/ explained multiple times the meaning of their songs/ characters. They even stablish what is and what isn’t up to the interpretation of the viewer. They even have rules over the discord of how create your own oc in their universe Having something so dear as your own creation just for people to have it wrong it’s kind of disappointing, and and so I wanted to explain what it was, simple as that

See I kind of see that as PART of the story. The Lark are dancing and playing and playing but the longer the song goes on the more intense Cole's voice becomes about "TELL ME WHERE THEY ARE." So, to me, it seems like these children are running about free and wild, but the Harpy Hare's children aren't. And Cole, especially, has a problem with that. Which makes sense, considering Cole wears a hare mask. Also, I feel like it's worth noting that hares do NOT bury their children for safety. A lot of people are commenting that that is a normal behavior for rabbits, which is true. But hares are NOT rabbits, and it's very big mistake to mix up the two. I won't get into all the differences of the two know, but the more important things to know is that rabbits are the epitome of the term "prey animal". When in danger, they think only of running and hiding. Rabbits spend a large portion of their lives hiding in burrows underground. Hares are a "prey animal" with a warning label. They are larger, faster, and aggressive. When in danger, they think of running, and fighting back. They spend their entire lives above ground. A hare is never meant to be buried while still alive. (And a rabbit can be domesticated. A hare never can be.) So it feels very relevant to me that this Harpy Hare is forcing to her children to live as rabbits.

They’re the only one without an animal themed mask, they don’t have shoes, they don’t have sleeves, they’re shorter than the rest, they’re the only one smiling with their teeth in the title-card(?), they are the one doing the different sound in the chorus vocals, and so much more details I could list out. this song reminds me of a mother who won’t let her children go she keeps them safe where they’re buried away from the world and its threats you can’t keep them all caged they will fight and run away is a good example on how they feel trapped and will always worry thinking it’s so very cruel out there but “she can’t keep them all safe they will die and and be afraid” this is mostly my experience being schooled indoors for the past 4/5 years going no where not going to parties to see other family or anywhere in general love this song🍂🪷🪵

I've always percieved this song as an overprotective mother trying to shield her children from the horrors of the world, unintentionally harming them more. It's because she doesn't understand that she won't be able to keep them 'safe' forever, as multiple people warn her about the inevitable consequences of her actions. Edit: I just realized that's also why the lyrics when the mother is being warned sound so desperate, as if the person singing has already experienced it before.

It's baffling how easily nature could be "healed" but humans just don't want to change (yet) 💔 I recommend looking into how much space we could re-wild if we stopped using fellow sentient beings & got nutrition, clothes, etc. form plants (which is perfectly possible) 💚 Good starting points are Collective Fashion Justice & Earthling Ed, for example.

I showed my nana this and she said “Wow... Such a small creator for a talent so gorgeous and growing!” and she also said you deserve to be on TV. (Like, a famous show, she meant. Honestly, i would watch it and immediately finish it because of how amazing this is) And she also said she loves the way you draw these “little characters” (She didn't know how to describe them) and he said she's never seen anything like this. I told her you made the music, too, and she was utterly flabbergasted. I showed her your other content and she's now amazed. She loves Clémentine and Perrine!
