The Honeywell 5853 glass break detector is the only wireless glass break that Honeywell has made available for the LYNX Touch series. It is both effective and made to avoid false alarms. Just subscribed. Is there another option to install on each individual window for glass break detection? I’m afraid of false alarms with this sensor.

You'll need a glassbreak simulator that's listed as compatible with the glassbreak detector to properly perform a test. This FAQ gives you a good overview. ya know,lightly smacking your keys on the housing is a great way to trigger a glass break

It is a great way to trigger the glass break. But it isn't a great way to know if you've installed it in the right place. An FG701 is going to be a better tester for that.
