Du Shik is such a good written character. There're so many layers to him. And his struggles are also relatable to most of us, at least in parts. I also love the fact that the series shows him getting professional help. There's no magic "love cures all" pill here and it takes time and effort. And also support, which Du Shik luckily has. I do not want him to have a fairy-tale "happy ending", but I do wanna see him confronting his demons and leaning on people who care about him for that.

I agree 100%! I would want to see a realistic "happy" yet still somewhat struggling but surrounded by the people he loves and love him back... To me, that would be a more satisfying finale to this series. It gives you hope that there is light at the end of a dark tunnel.

I think this outstanding dramedy hit the perfect balance throughout including the conclusion. As you wrote even before it concluded, that it succeeds (especially in Du Shik's case) by connecting with the audience's own issues. I wrote about this just now (Nov 14th '21).

Ele matou o próprio filho dentro do útero da namorada.... esse ator merece ser feliz, merece sucesso?... ele é só mais um homem egoísta e egocêntrico assassino de bebê. Merece sofrer pela vida que matou.

@ foi uma decisão feita junto com a namorada dele. ele errou sim, e com certeza isso sempre vai marcar ele. mas não acho que ele merece ser infeliz o resto da vida por causa desse erro.

I cannot imagine any other so called A list K Actor portraying Hong Dusik/ Chief Hong like Kim Seon Ho !! He makes us feel the inner conflict and pain of Dushik in an indescribable way.. we laugh, get scared, get anxious, cry and go through every emotion along with him.. Frankly Hometown Cha cha cha would just be a regular rom/com without KSH and Shin Min Ah's brilliant performance !

Kim Seon ho's acting is amzing👏🏻🥂 Specially the way he expresses Du Shik's emotions. It's very hard to overcome trauma and I truly wish Du Shik will eventually heal himself. Can't wait for the next episode. ❤❤

I'm still here to enjoy the top acting ability of KSH... I hope that he can come back in the future. He is really talented ... I feel bad for him and his career. Everything seems to collapse in the blink of an eye :((

It is best edit ever. I love the way this drama tells that past has impact on our lives. Everyone just says us to move on without understanding anything. It is really really hard to move on from some things which just haunt us everynight. Lucky are those have people to talk about it. REALLY love your work. This beautiful Du Shik compilation really stood out among many character/show tributes. 🙏🏻 Your videos in general give such great insight into what made this drama so special, a real intimate feedback to the writers, actors, director, casting (❣) and creative team. What a complex character beautifully brought to life by Kim Seon Ho who'll stay with us long after this dramedy's end and connected with/possibly helped an audience segment with his/her struggles. This video gifts feedback to the writers more intimate than any charts, initial (or change in) standard ratings or printed reviews. This drama and character 'spoke' to and connected with countless people who (as I) related to his internal struggles regardless of different specifics. Du Shik (the character) also left a big 'footprint' on a person close to me who got my forward, letting me 'say' what I couldn't in person. His response a few days later prompted this long 'Thank you!". It appears that he's been thinking about this as well, but normally ignores YT videos. It summarized his 'journey of encouragement and epiphanies' 👍😂 🙏🏻 as was also my own lasting take‐away, long after the adorable/fun of this viewer's afterglow faded a bit. I've got a habit of trying to figure out why I enjoyed (or hated) a movie/drama/book... often over a great single single malt. 🙊 Plenty of worse hobbies, right? [P.S. Use of Emerson's 'Walden' was bloody brilliant!!! Such an unexpected and extraordinary 'shortcut' 🙊🙉🙏🏻 giving a deep dive into Du Shik's phylosophy and emotional journey. I wish that this show alone encourages viewers unfamiliar with RWE's iconic work to read it (as well as its companion piece on civil disobedience often bundled together in one book) and some of endless discussions about its meaning. I've gifted it to countless kids in high school and college and recently learned that some picked up my quirky habit. Woot!.]

I am just deeply affected with the scandal about him today.. is it just a coincidence that -- in one of his nightmares in Hometown Chachacha episode-- we can hear a baby crying?
