Whole route, from Tsuen Wan West to Kam Sheung Road Station. This service started out as the 26 in 1961, when Route Twisk (an acronym of Tsuen Wan/Shek Kong), built by the British Army, was handed over for civilian use; route 26 originally ran from Kowloon to Yuen Long. It evolved into the 51 in 1973. Once the province of tough Albion Vikings and suped-up MCW Metrobuses, this service is now in the capable hands of ADL Enviro 200s, which seem to cope admirably with the gradients - this bus leaves Tsuen Wan on a Sunday morning with a full standing load of hikers. The wonderful scenery (plus the sense of being on a rollercoaster) surely makes this one of the Great Bus Journeys of The World. Filmed 27th April 2014.
