I hope NYC's MTA subways could one day be like Hong Kong's MTR in a way of efficiency..

I was in NYC a couple of years ago and got to experience the subway. I like that its extensive and open24 hours but the state of the facilities have degraded so much that there's definitely safety risks and hygiene issue. I hope it gets fixed as NYC is one of my fave cities in the world.

TST to Causeway Bay I recommend go to TST star ferry to Wan Chai, & walk to Causeway Bay.

a better way tbh, I frequently do this when not in a hurry

With all those station entrances and tunnels under the streets leading to the platforms, it's almost like a separate city underground, which mimics the streets above. If it weren't for the fact that everyone is on their way to somewhere else, it would make sense to put storefronts on all those tunnel walls and add a third more retail space to the city.

Older former residents/visitors say MTR is expensive now!

still one of the cheapest among major cities, considering how efficient it is

Exiting Causeway Bay station takes a looooong time. Feels like a mouse in a maze, looking to see daylight...literally

not that long, Ho man TIn more longer in Gate area, if u use Kuwn Tong Line.
@walkinginhongkong21 күн бұрын
causeway bay one of the shorter ones actually, just depends on where you exit. if Times Square exit then yes, quite long. but Sogo or Hysan place exits quite are quite short :)

i get lost ,i am sure at one point you did a complete circle to get out lol ,to much walking in tunnels to get to the trains ,some Japanese stations have several entrances ,but a lot of walking to get out ,in London there is a underground walkway ,connecting 3 museum's ,from the tube railway

tokyo station is one giant maze compared to HK central/admiralty/TST hehe

It’s stuck in the past. Too many ads, crowded and noisy trains.

crowded- but people are moved very efficiently. noisy trains-if you're talking about the PA system, I'd prefer this over metro's without. too many ads-helps pay for excellent service. I'd be interested to know what a metro in the present looks like.

Such a rip off of the London tube. But also no match against PH MRT/LRT 😏
