In the nineteenth century, Britain recruited a large number of Indians from India to Hong Kong for police and defence duties, with Sikhs known for their bravery and discipline being the predominant group. These turban-wearing officers were known as ‘Big heads in green uniforms’, and their arrival marked the establishment of the Sikh community in Hong Kong.

I'm Singaporean (ethnic Chinese) and what I understand is the greeting of the Sikhs is not 'Namaste' but 'Sat Sri Akaal'. Singapore is NOT a Chinese nation but a multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-cultural country so we know that Sikhs and not Indians. We can also identify a Sikh lady by her costumes and even if the males are wearing a turban, we can tell by the silver bangle he's wearing. Majority of Indians in Singapore are Tamils.

Sikh = Student, whose final journey is to elevate to the level of Khalsa = Pure One. Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji/SGGS. The SGGS is the central holy Faith scripture of Sikhism, regarded by Sikh as the final, sovereign and eternal Guru/Teacher following the lineage of the 10/ten human Gurus/Teachers of the religion. The Adi Granth, its first rendition, was compiled by the 5th/fifth Guru/Teacher, Guru Arjun Sahib (1564-1606). Its compilation was completed on 29 August 1604 and first installed inside the Darbar Sahib/Golden Temple in Amritsar, Panjab on 01 Sept 1604. Baba Buddha ji, was appointed the 1st Granthi/Pope, of the Darbar Sahib/Golden Temple. Shortly afterwards 6th Guru/Teacher Hargobind Sahib ji added Ramkali Ki Vaar. Later, 10th Guru/Teacher Gobind Singh ji, added hymns of 9th Guru/Teacher Tegh Bahadur ji, to the Adi Granth and affirmed the text as his (10th Guru/Teacher Gobind Singh) successor. This second rendition became known as the Guru Granth Sahib. The Sri Guru Granth Sabih ji, is unusual coz it (SGGS) is notable among ONLY foundational Faith Scripture contains also both the writing of people who (Hindus & Muslims) were NOT Sikh. Only principles of TRUTH (WHOSOEVER utters/speaks/writes, Truth with Courage, steadfast to EMBRACE Death/Except Isolation/Be Disliked) with Courage (1st Except death, give up any hope of life) is propounded in SGGS, and teaching contains 1430 Angs (limbs), containing 5,894 hymns of 37 saint mystics which includes Sikh teacher/guru (7 teacher), Bhagats/Saints 15 (Hindu/Muslim of lowest casteism AKA known as untouchables, in their own communities), 11 Bhatts (Priest/Brahmins, addressed in Sanskrit or even Bards/Entertainer as per to Brahmin varna/caste). Combinations of both Brahmins and ordinary person of caste/class, were ELEVATED to intellectual level of Brahmins and those who belonged to the class of Brahmins, but mainly gave highly influential judgements on the right and wrong decisions in the court, later came to be known as 'Bhatt'. It is believed that because of this (highly influential judgements on the right and wrong), these people possess excellent communication, Judgement and logical argument skills in them. ONLY those person who were elevated to intellectual level and enlightened, plus bestowed with CREATORS' (Who is FREE from Birth & Death and CANNOT be conceived in ANY Womb) grace, regardless of their status (colour, race, faith & status/class) whose teaching brought to maturity through their practical practice (Actions/Deeds/Duty 24/7) based on Righteous/ness/Truth/Truthful/Justice orientated) are recorded in SGGS and 4 gursikhs (elevated/enlightened, Sikh disciple). SGGS is NOTABLE among ONLY foundational Faith scripture of TRUTH which advocate Acceptance, Brotherhood, Compassion, Diversity, Equality, Inclusivity, Justice, Righteousness, Secular & TRUTH. It (Sikh Faith) is notable among ONLY foundational Faith scripture which is compiled/contain, 45 languages (though written in Gurmukhi but pronounce in the territorial/geographical, language of that area/region, the Gurus/Sages/Teachers hail from) from Territories of pre & post Punjab and Bharat (India) for INCLUDING hymns of writers who PRACTICED OTHER Faiths, Courageously, Truthfully, with Fairness, Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness & Virtue, namely Hindus & Muslims (from LOWEST status/classes or also known as untouchables, in their own communities), SGGS propounds message (from preceptors, from diverse FAITH & CASTEISM) of Acceptance, Brotherhood, Compassion, Equality, Diversity, Inclusivity, Justice, Righteous, Secular & TRUTH. Hence, includes hymns of Teachers/Gurus who are NON-Sikh, but ONLY those who promulgate TRUTH (WHOSOEVER utters/speaks/writes, Truth with Courage, steadfast to EMBRACE Death/Except Isolation/Be Disliked)/ or EQUALS = CREATOR (NO person IDOLISED, whosoever, wishes or want to be IDOLISED, are not/cannot be, TRUTH/Creator; Timeless Form, Unincarnated & NOT time bounded. Remember Almighty CREATOR Lord CANNOT B conceived in a WOmb of ANY women and take birth). These Teachers/Gurus represented other Faiths. They Propagate/Spread TRUTH with Courage, Fairness, Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness & Virtue, namely Hindus and Muslims and NOT deprive/denied their rights by referencing their names wherever their teachings appears/recorded, NO copy rights issues fabricated. Easiest and best way to understand, is to look upon it (Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji) as a DIAMOND 💎 Necklace. Inside there is teaching, race, religions, languages and cultures mentioned are like PRECIOUS stones, each has a brilliance of its own but is also linked to other chain/people/teachers/teachings, which can best be described as HUMANNESS. As long as the chain⛓️/people/teachers/teachings, remain strong, the DIAMOND💎will remain INTACT (Humanity). Whosoever break/snaps/destroys that Diamond 💎 chain, its PRECIOUS stones will fall apart and CALAMITY/CATASTROPHE, we cannot foresee will fall upon us, and cannot ward off. It teaches people abt 1 (Ones) of Humanity. Within the SGGS hymns & poems, express the importance of the EQUALITY of ALL Humans. Also highlight the belief of remembering the Almighty Creator Lord 24/7. SGGS fundamental creed: "*He (Creator) is the Sole Supreme Being; of eternal manifestation; Creator, Immanent Reality; Without Fear; Without Rancour; Timeless Form; Unincarnated; Self-Existent;Realized by grace of the holy Preceptor/Teacher/Guru *Teacher/Guru Nanak." Regardless of one's Faith, s/he/whosoever has conscious conscience, and Courageously propound principles of Truth and Practice through ACTIONS/Deed, Righteous/ness and uphold Justice, are the ones who are known as HUMANE and Respect Humanity. Only such person can bring PRINCIPLES and IDEALS of TRUTH, Righteous/ness & Justice to maturity, wherever they are present, their AURA of TRUTH & Righteousness can be experienced around such personality. People reap what they sow ....Peace✌️on U n Peace ✌️ on all 🙏🏻 Sikh supplication PRAYER END (Effort Never Dies) with Sarbat Da Bahlla / Implore CREATOR to wish HIS grace for wellbeing of all MANKIND & HUMANITY. Sataya Mein Jayat/TRUTH always Prevails, Saat Sri Akaal(Except TRUTH/CREATOR Nothing is ETERNAL, in Time immemorial & permanence)🙏

Here we again Indian stereotype busted different sir name doses not represent different social classes. There are four classes: the Brahmins (priestly class), the Kshatriyas (rulers, administrators and warriors; also called Rajanyas), the Vaishyas (artisans, merchants, tradesmen and farmers), and the Shudras (labouring classes). A individual born in Brahmin class could become shudras (labouring classes) due to his demonic nature vice versa labouring classes could be Brahmin class depending on his karma. A lot of misinformation about india until you experience yourself. And while Sikhs also use hierarchical terminology Arora, Khatri, Ramgarhia, Jat, Saini, Kamboh, Mahton, Chhimba, Mohyal , Chamar, etc. Each caste has its sphere of influence and specialisation which originated through western or Islamic culture influences. While in india if it’s Sikhism, Hinduism, Buddhism or Jainism nor promotes the cast or were part of the culture. It’s social inequality that every society faces even in today era.

Sikh code of conduct defines 2 types of Sikh. 1st Sabat Surat (unshorn beards/hairs) not necessarily baptized & 2nd Patit (shorn beards/hairs). On the other hand, those who work in disciplinary environments during physical/combat, exercise or training are allowed to wear such headwear that does not impedes or hinder their training but facilitate their training and developments to progress in their chosen fields. How many Sikh are there who ties and undo their turban everyday, but instead wears/puts, on and off like a hat everyday?🤨🤔🧐 It's personal choices, as long as, the hairs are covered, cared for and looked neat and tidy which does not results in blasphemy it's acceptable. 🙏🏼🙏🙏🏿🙏🏽🙏🏻
