Abdullah was more of a circus act than an actual wrestler which is why he would sell out shows. He came with something different. Now I must say, his style of work did nothing for me but no one can deny that he was an attraction to the business and he made a lot of people a lot of money.

I know a guy that almost had to get in the ring with Abdullah because the top guy of the territory that was supposed to face him wasn't feeling well. The top guy ended up showing up to work his match with Abby much to my old friend's relief because he was scared to death, but he was willing to do it for the good of the show.Abby accidentally cut this guy near a main artery and he almost bled to death.Everybody was rushing to help him and the paramedics came quick thank God!!! My friend who was barely a mid card guy said if that would've happened to him, they probably wouldn't have moved as fast to help him or call an ambulance being that he wasn't the top guy in that small territory.

Abdullah lost a $2 million lawsuit filed by a wrestler he cut open with his fork. The wrestler contracted the 'C' form of hepatitis and had to leave the ring for a period. Fortunately, he was healed and went back into the ring.

Unfortunately, you're wrong. Abdullah the Butcher was a professional in all aspects of pro wrestling. He was one of the few scientific and technical wrestlers in his time. In fact there were some fans that asked to be cut, just to be able to say that Abdullah the Butcher did it. Abdullah the Butcher the GOAT.

Kind of a slight against The Sheik/Ed Farhat when speaking of Abdullah. Farhat was an icon of hardcore wrestling starting in the 60s. If there was a wrestler of that era who drew more heat, you can't name him.
