I Agree with Honky Tonk Man on Kevin Nash not being a good talent/sale.. but not Scott Hall ... Razor🙏was a tremendous in-ring talent with an overly abundance of charisma... The night diesel defeated Bob Backlund (in a flash) for the gold was the end of classic old school style grappling in my opinion...

Kevin Nash and Scott Hall turn both companies around by giving us the Attitude era... Them defecting to w c w made both companies millions..

Jim Cornette?! The unsuccessful wrestling promoter who downtalks everyone who's more successful?
@CatsClaw448 сағат бұрын
@@JoeDMurphyNo the Hall of Fame manager and influential trainer with a mainstream name. That Jim Cornette. And running an independent territory for 5 or 6 years is not "unsuccessful."

Kevin Nash was overrated but ill give him a pass when he was Diesel. During the new generation era Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels wasn't a big draw either.
@coolguy29823 сағат бұрын
I would actually say Diesel was the most believable champion during those years. He was a big dude who looked like he could beat the crap out of everyone. Kevin gets a bad rep because people who love the business hate him. The only other guy who was believable was Luger but Bret hart played politics and Patterson sided Bret and they didn't make Lex the champion. People say Diesel was a flop. But the house shows started crashing in 1994 when Bret was the champion and thats why Diesel got the belt on a house show in MSG because Vince thought people werent buying a small guy like Bret as a champion. The nos didnt fall down or grow during Diesels reign. Bret and Shawn were the biggest flops because with that dedicated push for years they didn't draw a dime. It would have been better if Sid or Bam Bam took the belt of Diesel. Cruiserweight Bret and Shawn beating Diesel were laughable. Bret and Shawn were better as job guys or low card than main event.

@@coolguy298 You again with the "short wrestlers is bad" syndrome! Don't you know that one of the biggest draws in the world of professional wrestling was Bruno Sammartino who was 178 cm tall who could easily beat up Kevin Nash in a real fight?! And you have to answer me the following question, what do you think of Steve Austin?! Was he a big draw?! How tall was Steve Austin?! I'll tell you, he was 186 cm tall, and do you know how tall Bret Hart was?! He was 183 cm tall, so the difference between them was only 3 cm. Was this 3 cm Bret Hart's problem?!! Your comments are so pathetic

Hogan turned heel and they were along for the ride. Outside of those 2 years Nash didn't do anything in wrestling to draw money. The clique robbed the wrestling business and only hhh drew any money working with Foley and Austin or the Rock
@OdaVenomКүн бұрын
Aha, now foken' Foley draws. Nobody would care if Hogan just turned bad. On contrary, it might just tank the product, because the minuscule rise in popularity for WCW with contracting Hohan was based on people who still lived in the 80's and wanted more do-right Hulk. Hogan didn't even know how to be a current hip heel. It just wouldn't happened without Hall and Nash, period.
@givem110Күн бұрын
@OdaVenom wrestling was extremely uncool 91-96. Hogan turning heel got the attention of all the kids that grew up in the hulkamania boom period and allot of them came back as 16-24 year olds watching a more mature product. That's all the 90's wrestling boom was. A giant pool of former fans that came back to watch and it started because Hogan turnrd heel. If it would have been sting or anyone else it wouldn't have moved the needle at all much less gain 4 million viewers in a few months.

Hall was a solid worker who, when sober, had charisma up the yingyang. Nash had ZERO personality and seemed to me to be too lazy to change his mind.

Honk couldn't be more wrong about ECW. ECW's failure had absolutely nothing to do with the product being 'too extreme'.
@Rick-si1reКүн бұрын
You're probably right but he was right about what he said about the product, you don't need all that extreme violence etc to sell tickets and there is only so far that you can go with that without killing someone or at least seriously injuring them so he has a point there imho. The rest of what he said made him look bitter and jealous, you can see my comment above.

Honky is 💯% ... I agree with most of his views. Absolute legend. I hated him as a kid, true heel ! He did his job perfectly. I loved watching him get his ass kicked. Especially by ultimate warrior...
