A perfect paddle, just make sure you get a J2K with at least 8 oz and get red version. Yes, my blue 7.8 oz does NOT feel the same as red 8.1 oz even after adding .3 oz to the blue version

I went with the pro as the power was more prevalent vs the regular j2k. The control is closer between the 2 than power is.

@@JJPickleball I will say that the j2k & Pro are closer than the other Honolulu paddles & there pro models. You can tell the pro j3k & j7k are better than the base models, but you cant say the same for the j2k

Just curious. Have you hit both? What made you lean towards the pro over the standard J2K?
@kblaser813 ай бұрын
I have both and started playing the J2K for a couple weeks, then switched to the J2K Pro for a few weeks and have been exclusively playing the J2K for the past month. To me the main difference is the J2K has a slightly softer feel than the Pro. The pro seems to have a little more pop and power but I haven’t had any issues with the power and pop I can generate with the J2K. Honolulu is putting out some incredible paddles!

yeah definitely the one thing missing from pickleball was jesus. nevermind just jumping on the kevlar train and putting out a paddle thats probably no better than the apollo, ruby, hurache x control, or other kevlar paddles, their innovation was adding "john 3:16" to the paddle. wow. genius

Just received my blue J2K this week, really been enjoying playing with it. However, after two sessions of outdoor playing, I already noticed some white scuff marks on the Kevlar paddle face. Upon further inspection with a powerful magnifying glass, the weave seem to be altered (no longer a clean weave pattern) so I’m a bit worried on the functional impact and longevity of this material as more scuff marks appear in the next few months.

Should I get the J2k or the Thrive Azul
@JJPickleball3 ай бұрын
Depends on what you want. The azul will be an upcoming video for me. If you want an all court paddle get the J2K, and if you want a power paddle get the thrive azul. Both are amazing paddles. If you want the azul I do have a code which is “JJ10” which will get you 10 percent off and support the channel. But really comes down to what fits your game best, and what you want from a paddle.

There is mixed feedback on this. The surface build is not as plush as the ruby however, the sweet spot is much larger making it feel like the paddle is more plush. It’s more forgiving so you get more of a sweet feedback.
