Tech4All I liked honor band 4 more of the features but I dont use them that much so If I had to wear one I should go for the mi band 3. Its more compact and much more confortable.

I have Amazfit Bip, which is basically better watch-like Mi Band 3...and it's great, does everything well...but I agree with you. The only really good function was activity tracking with GPS, shows nice map, tempo, elevation, a ton of details...that's very good if you want to make fast walking or running part of your routine and watch your performance...it made me walk as fast as I could, showed tempo in real time...now that said, following a proper strength training routine without watch is better still, so..:-) Anyway, the Bip ideally combined with some leather strap is very good. Battery life insane, display perfect, all functions and more.The Honor Band 4 is first product that seriously challenges Bip.

I had the Mi Band 3 for 25$. It is a good watch, and honestly, the fitness features, heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking are not really useful for me. I used the two last for a few weeks then disabled them to save battery. I wanted this watch to receive notifications, count my steps, and, of course, watch time. It's also great to be able to unlock the phone when you are close to it (it works on my phone which have a custom ROM, so it should work with any phone, Xiaomi or not). I agree that the display is not very bright in the sun, and sometimes even impossible to see on a sunny day with sunglasses. But this is not a big problem. TL;DR: good watch, tracking features not really useful, brightness could be better, notifications and calls working well, good battery life, great design.

Just bought Mi band 3 and noticed some design flaw. Charging. You need to pop out the tracker everytime you need charging (the port are at the side ) reducing the band lifespan but Honor band 4 seems to not have that problem (its charging port is below the device, shown at 4:00)

Very true - especially if you are spending most of your time outdoors. This is why I often tend to call the bands with pale screen "office bands" - they are good for using in an office environment where you have no direct sunlight.

Fitbit has 'custom groups' and 'group leaderboard' - as well as your own profile on their website, syncing via windows laptop with bt as well as workweek and weekend challenges - these are the best features on Fitbit (although custom challenges over 7 days have been removed for now)

Logical review. Mi Band 3 is pretty good. Well, in terms of overall specs, Honor Band 4 is better. But, if it is in sports mode, the accuracy of the results Mi Band 3 is not too different from the Honor Band 4. From the video review, it looks like the measurement results Mi Band 3 HR also adds accurate. But it tends to be biased. Because, Honor unit it's just a little too far of the wrist. What is clear in terms of accuracy, Mi Band 3 not as good as Honor Band 4. Workout mode is good scene points too. Honor Band 4 result in good performance as it provides the option set appropriate targets our willingness and there will be a notification for that set. We will be more motivated by it. Only HH app performance was not too good on the phone that not Huawei brands. Instead, Mi fit even more flexible and efficient. BT connection is also very fast. And, Mi Band 3 strap is much more comfortable. The point is how intense this unit we use for physical activity. Or at least, if the unit will be used kept then Honor Band 4 is the best choice for all its faults. Otherwise, Mi Band 3 is the best economical option. Just need adjustment so that the unit is able to function optimally although not perfect.

Haamid Ashraf personally, I prefer the Honor band 4 for its bright and color display, and its more complete features. However, calls can also be muted on the Honor band ;)

If you want a cheap band with a longer battery life, mi band 3 is perfect, but if you want a little more expensive band, with a colorful and harmonious display, and more complete sport features, Honor band 4 is the right one. So the choice is up to you!

Battery life is comparable. Maybe if you use the sleep tracking and the continuous tracking of vitals it will be a bit shorter, but overall performance is quite similar.

@@TechMishka Indeed , i use Honor Band 4 for a week now , and i can see differences between Mi Band 3 and h4. The H4's display is great , even with brightness on level 1 ( 3 levels) i can see it perfectly in sunlight; battery... i can say that it's a little bit shorter than MB3 , but it's liveable, it's good. With HR and true sleep monitor on, always connected to my samsung Note 8 on bluetooth, i get almost 4-5 days battery life, but i do exercices 1 - 1/2 hours a day, rise to wake always active, also with bunch of notifications regulary ( whatssapp , sms, calls displayed). Also , i used both smartbands in shover and hot water and had no issues at all. Also , the H4 i seems more durable.

For me it will be honor band 4. I had used a mi band 2. It was getting out of band easily. Mine only last for 3 month. When i was using it and want to looking for time, i only saw the band on my wrist because the device was gone. And you cannot see the time underneath the sunlight. So i think it will be the same with band 3.

Great Comparison. I bought the Mi Band 3 during Black Friday. I have to admit if the prices were the same I would have gone for the Honor due to the better screen for outdoor use and how the face layout is placed. Yet I love the battery life of my Mi Band and it's overall modern looking curved screen design and compact feel for my small wrists it just looks more attractive to me still and meets my basic needs as I do not really require the top specs for monitoring features yet that's my opinion so keep it in mind.

I have the Amazfit Bip that I like, it is probably a MiBand 3 "on steroids". Shortcomings are that the GPS is not as accurate as my Moto X4's GPS (i compared ona 5 km run, sometimes 10 / 15% in distance measured). other issue it is just splashproof not for swimming. Does the Honor band have a swimming mode? Is the heart rate more accurate and so the sleep tracking? Nice review. Honor seems more appealing even if the app is worse. Can Google Fit sync sleep and heart rate with it?

Hi Stefano, I am pleasantly surprised to see you around a non-actioncam discussion 🤓😊 Yes, the Swimming mode is available, and furthermore - because of the 6-Axis gyro, Honor has integration for automatic swimming style recognition. And it also syncs the heart rate.

@@TechMishka Honor Band is close to 50 dollars... It is a significant price difference compared to the Mi Band. Have you compared the heart rate accuracy between the 2 by checking your heart rate manually for 15 seconds with a watch?

@@stefpix Yes - the Honor Band 4 was giving approximately 2 beats per minute lower pulse than the Mi Band 3. Also - the mi band 3 seems to just measure it once - and doesn't update it for a prolonged time, while the Honor Band 4 give data for a longer period of time.

@@TechMishka I was looking at the Huawei Band 3 Pro as it has GPS and swim modes. It can be good to find fishing spots. But I seem to understand that there is no way to export GPS data to other apps / websites, and the Huawei app data gets lost when the phone is upgraded. That is pretty much a dealbreaker if GPS can not be synced. I have the Bip, which allows exporting GPS to google fit, but no swim modes and it is reportedly only splash proof or quick immersion, not swim proof. Have you tried the Bip?

Marisa, if you own a Mi Phone - the Mi Band integration is better; For example - you can use the bluetooth unlock feature with Mi Band3, while that won't work with the Honor Band. It will nicely track both calories and steps.

comparing battery is just silly, one is a dead monochrome display, the other doing wonders with the color, oled , design and animation. Of course it will consume more battery. I opted for mi band 3 in the beginning for battery saving, but its just boring. Considering they're just fancy watches in the end so I went with good looking band 4.

I choose honor band 4. It can tracks my swimming exercise quite accurately (distance, styles, calories, how many laps) and it makes me happier than before (using mi band 3)

Not perfect but the mi band 3 is serving me well. The mi fit is an awesome app and the sleep and steps tracker not perfect but a mile above average.. The best is the price and battery.. I love it. If you want something better, go for Samsung or apple..

It feels more solid than the Mi Band 3; Overall both displays are scratchable. And you will find better options for protection to the Mi Band 3

No Blood pressure with the Honor band. I have been testing in the last days the Alfawise T1, which is similar to the Lemfo T1 and this is a surprisingly well built smartwatch/band which does that. With continuous heart-rate and blood pressure measurements - battery life is around 3-4 days. You get new values every 10 minutes.

@@joydeepbanerjee6204 I have an sj7 star, which I only got once my nexus 4 officially burnt out. my iPhone 5c was stole for a third time, years ago, and since I ran our of "apple insurance", I had to settle for my bf's old nexus 4 he had laying around...turns out , after getting used to it, I loved it and used it for like over 4 years lol. Sad that it was soo much more reliable than my 5c ever was! I dont know a lot about phones and wasnt exactly sure if his pixel was an android too! Since it was a "google pixel"? Idk it threw me off and I wanted to make sure. Just bought the honor band 4, and some screen protectors for the hell of it, and I'm sure he'll like it. Thanks again

You are correct - monochrome display for the Mi band 3 - almost the same as Mi Band 2. I also like the Honor band 4's display better.

My Mi Band 2 screen is so dim now it's only readable in total darkness! Very disappointing. It was really nice and bright a year ago. Will the same screen failure happen to the Mi Band 3 eventually??

Your comment is one of the very few posts I've seen about such an issue. Haven't noticed that on my Mi Band 2, and the Mi band 3 is fine too. At the end of the day - this is a display and it may eventually fail.

Just for your information There are 2 types of mi bands 1.global version 2. China version Both of them are original but they use different types of heart rate sensor I used both and one of them is more accurate ,way more accurate

I still haven't decided yet, because someone always making me unsure :) ...but i would go for a HB4 i think, because i have Mi band 2, my collegaue has a Mi band 3, so we can compare them, and im curious about huawei's app. My priorities are: - HB4 has 6 axis gyro, so the movement recognition might be more precise - HB4 has normal "watch like" strap - HB4 monitors swimming, which i do 2 times a week, so i won't lose that minutes/calories :) - HB4 monitors the sleep better, or more detailed ...new info is that the HB4 has a new sw update, so if your phone language is not in the 9 supported language, it will remain english instead of chinese, as it was the default language before. If the amazfit bip/core was waterproof, and was monitoring swimming, i would go for it because of the GPS!

Based on what you say, you definitely should choose the HB4 - just as mentioned at the end of the video its strengths seem to be your priorities. The Mi Band 2 is in my opinion the real game-changer from the Mi-band series 😇

I love my Honor band 4 nice Display sleep Monitor and Heart Rate every 2 Minutes. IT would be good If the Heart Rate would be displayed Like Fitbit that the Heart Pumps Like in real on the Display. I love the Bluetooth Connection very good and Realtime calls or Messages. The Display ist top in the sun too and battery holds 6-7 days. But the big Problem at Honor band is that the App doesnt sync Heart Rate to Google fit and dont Take the weight from Google fit to Show it in Huawei Health App. I hate that i dont sync the Data Out so its getting useless. Please Update or allow IT.
