I bought it last week based on the price but also because the spec coincidentally was now higher across the board than my Samsung Note (2019). Uppermost for me was battery, refresh and size. I am not interested in the camera, so the spec on this works fine for me.

if honor keep releasing these unbeatable prices and hardware i gonna feel the next ban is coming. Overall impressive phone ngl, at first i thought "ok the camera is gonnan be bad but then the images... damn - did u shoot the photos with the selectable 108mp mode or with the normal (12mp compressed) mode? Low light shots i can see that it is struggling more compared others more expensive devices tho. on Fast moving objects it might help to use the 12mp mode compared to the 108mp mode, at least compared to other phones they all "struggle" more or less Qualcomms support policy is quite a bit awful tho but for the price & hardware a "must buy" imo (if u need a new phone) - but i see already the "bad performance customer part" like the Pixel 8 got cuz somehow a 2 or now 3 Gen old SoC is awful while idk what kind of magic apps ppl running, needing that much "power" to actual see & feel the difference daily.

Mark how are the haptics on this? I really want to get my first Honor phone and the last Huawei phone I used is from many years ago. The value proposition for this is just crazy to me and of all the budget phones from the Chinese makes, Honor is the most interesting to me. Thanks for the review.

I bought this based on this and techspurts great words! Love the phone, and you're right by keeping on saying about the price as too many reviewers seem to keep forgetting that fact!... (now £269.99) best phone for that money by a country mile!.. Great review fella.

I don't know where you are. In the UK, the offer was on for ordering at the start of January and I received all mine, including free tablet and 66kw charger, last week.

I would personally go for the honor magic 6 lite. Even tho it has a little less power, it's more durable, it's got a bit of protection against water and dust, baterry is better, simply because of the camera design and leather skin on the back. Now the decision is up to you tho

Their is a app draw it's in the settings menu under the homescreen options lool all honor phones and Huawei phones have this feature and gave for a long time you just have to turn it on when you 1st get the phone

I was looking at the Honor X9b but it is unavailable so am checking this one out. On Amazon it is only £219 but I did hear you mention that, "oh, it isn't mine" so wondered if you can change the return address to mine instead. On contact I will give you it. I don't even mind that you dropped it a few times, I have somebody I want to throw it at.

I owned the 5 lite. very bad camera, the curved display is a dealbreaker for me, no 3.5 jack, no tripple card slot, and why, whyyyy isn.t there an option to swype the notification bar like from anywere on the screen ? whyyy ???

hi. can you pls tell me what is the resolution while watching contend on youtube videos : 1080p or 1440p or even 2160p?. Because even snapdragon 695 can not make more then 1080p on youtube videoplayback which is rediciulos low. i like to see content on phone in 1440p. thx for reply.

Gret looking phone but the image stabilisation on videos is really really poor. It was really shaky when zoomed in whereas the phone I had bought it to replace was far better. it should be better than a 4 year old Poco X3 NFC but it was worse. Colours on the Magic 6 Lite are crazily vivid and unrealistic for video and stills. Its a shame as its a good phone otherwise.

not really the best value. i had the phone for a week and i can say that is charmy outside, durable also, doesn't pick up scratches that easy, for me the battery let me down, only one day lasting in normal use, very disappointed with a 5300 battery, processor is fast enough but i started to have camera issues. When i opened the camera i couldn't access any settings also the torch is not turning on. After restart it does work but then the issues come back. I haven't dropped the phone. So i've returned the phone. A cheap smartphone is not a long lasting one.

Sounds like your unit might have had issues, usually happens even with £1000 phones. You always get the odd one, it was just your luck it happened to be you

sry but 5MP ultrawide is even worse than the usual 8MP garbage in china fones and then only mono speaker - how can you even ask if that thing is the best value fone. obviously not. maybe interesting for ppl who dont use ultrawide and speaker lol.
