During your Honor Magic 7 Pro review you mentioned that the zoom/ AI zoom was terrible but here in the RSR video the zoom is being praised. Considering they're both using the same zoom lens was Honor able to improve their telephoto performance via software? Will there be a re-review/look back at the Magic 7 Pro? Great videos by the way!

Sanr sensor different tech for the lense. AF motor is different, faster and quicker on the RSR

The RSR is a significant upgrade for some users. It features the LiDAR Matrix Autofocus system with 1,200 focus points, while the 7 Pro only has a laser focusing system. Additionally, the telephoto lens on the 7 Pro RSR has a wider aperture and faster autofocus. This makes the RSR much superior for capturing fast-moving subjects. For portraits with artificial background blur, the RSR performs much better because it can rely on its high-resolution LiDAR sensor to accurately measure the foreground and background. Another upgrade is the increased RAM, but whether that’s actually needed depends on the user’s needs-I don’t think it’s essential for most people. Also, if you live in China, the RSR supports satellite communication, which adds another layer of functionality.

When I go to Hong Kong in the coming months, I'll buy the China version of this which is 200 USD cheaper compared to the global version. I use a China phone in Singapore and I don't think I'm missing anything.

I suggest you to quickly go to Shenzhen and buy it there. It is much cheaper there than in HK. You can even get it in the duty free at Luohu port on the way back.

Gemini should work since can download it from Play Store and setting it up, just like on Vivo X100 Pro Chinese version with Origin OS. I would say works and don't have to use Yoyo than. From experience with X100 Pro. Assistant can be changed. Edit X100 Ultra has 1" inch type sensor like X100 pro, which not the case for X200 Pro, not for the Honor Magic 7 RSR. How is the same sensor on each than? Just asking it, Mike. X200 Pro: 23mm (wide), 1/1.28", 1.22µm. X100 Ultra: 23mm (wide), 1/0.98", 1.6µm. Honor Magic7 RSR: 23mm (wide), 1/1.3", 1.2µm. Great video.

Its ironic that the feature which makes this device unique is what would stop me from buying one. I had a 14 pro max and i couldn't stand that stupid dynamic island...gets in the way every time you look at the screen. Honor really should have thought this through more carefully. And it sucks because im a zoom fanatic as well so if you say its the best of course i want it lol
