As a total package, Honor magic 7 pro is the closest thing to perfection, as far as phones go. Best in class display, with its pwm and dc dimming capabilities, great mic and speakers, best in class chipset, one of the best if not the best (in a flagship category) battery and camera setup that easily wins at certain areas and is as good as its rivals in others. Honestly, I'm blown away. Software is polished and, more importantly, very stable. Only thing still lacking a bit is their update support. But, if it ain't broken, why trying to fix it?! Everything works so well, getting security patches every month or every second month is not a deal breaker, at least for me. Also, got a magic 5 pro, which got updated to android 15 a week ago.

I respect the Honor Magic Pro 7. The countless endless possibilities it comes with are innumerable. My favorite is the IR Blaster which has always kept me glued on the Redmi series since 2015. The Honor Magic Pro 7 with the Oppo Find x8 have disturbed my mind seriously. But the Honor Magic Pro 7 hits hard because of having all my Redmi/Xiaomi specs plus better speakers. It's a perfect phone.

Hi Grant, I would suggest you add in your judge to compare with actual color outside because only your own eyes can see which phone photos & video is most close to actual condition and color. We only watch through video's color, but we dont know which phone result is most close to actual.

The Honor looks like it has better HDR processing in front camera video but worse in rear camera video, which is weird. And also, Honor is working on a revamped zoom algorithm that improves medium and long range zoom shots.

yeah i'd pick the vivo for sure, feel like Honor is too bright and does still have that issue that you need to turn down the brightness of the shot itself to get a nicer result.

Great Comparison The Truth is that They both have Very Capable Cameras but they also have a Different approach to taking Photos and Videos I have Xperia 5V which just like the X200 Pro has Sony and Zeiss combination The Magic7 Pro on the other hand Doesn't have a collaboration with Zeiss, Leica or Hasselblad but it seems to have a Very Capable Camera but also Very Tricky one to get right.

From my impression: Honor is better at: Wide angle Portrait Night photo on main camera Faster Auto-focus Much more pleasant sound from mic actually Vivo is beter at: Colors in general and skin colors in particular Detalisation Much better telephoto obviously Much better OIS Better frontal camera In some cases Vivo has some wierd blur/bokeh in portrait mode which is less pleasand than Honor's. Also it feels like default colors in Honor is more processed (not in a bad way) while Vivo's colors is more 'pure' and accessible to post-processing. Mic is kinda meh on Vivo unfortunately. I noticed several times that I just don't wanna hear sound from Vivo right after listening to Honor. Which may be a deal breaker keeping in mind that we still talking about phones which we use to talk to each other between shooting.

Id give overall photos to honor, i like the color science and more natural bokeh fall off in portraits. But selfies are a bit better on vivo. Also vivo video performance on front and back is better. Like on several day clips the vivo handled big dynamic range changes better as when he would pan back up towards the sky, more natural transition. Ill probably go honor myself for photos but vivo seems like its bit more well rounded

First, let us all thank Mr Grant for such a great video upload. Plenty of sample for us to review, in different condition and settings. Now, for the camera comparison, i can say both have their own hit or miss, strength and weakness. Although vivo may have slight advantage sometime, but its obvious theres tampered done by the software. It is nice when done well, but sometimes we can see some artifacts or generated element, which is not good. Funny things is, if theres a census done without telling which photo belong to which phone, im pretty sure both came out a close tie. Because its a matter of preference in the end. So the winner is: us consumer. (Stop paying to much for a phone! Cough* samsung.. cough* iphone)

I'd would go with the Vivo X200 pro in this comparison, but I'm waiting for the X200 ultra. The X100 ultra does outperform the X200 pro in most cases. It's gonna get Interesting to see how it does compared to the competition! The Huawei Pura 70 ultra is the one to beat regarding photo and video, but to expensive compared to the competition!

Basically, all of us who understand phones at least a little, consider the Vivo X100 Pro to be the king of photomobiles in 2024. At the same time, the Magic6 Pro was just behind him. Overall, however, it is clearly a better mobile phone, which is most evident during normal daily use. Display, battery, selfie cam... Or just one of the most important feature for daily use - the system itself. Honor has far better layer (in my opinion, together with Huawei, even the best) like Vivo's one. The Magic7 Pro has further reduced this difference in camera compared to the X200 Pro. In some situations it is even better. Well done Honor - I think this will be flagship of the 2025 - with bonus, absolutly great speakers 😊 ! The best value on the market at this moment it's - Magic6 Pro for around 750 eur. The best flagship on the market should be - Magic7 Pro. ❤
