Look, coming from a person who's always been critically negative towards ML in many aspects, ML has far more variety in terms of character designs than HoK. I will never understand Chinese player's preferences in terms of character designs in video games. Cause that's the main reason why people complain about HoK's designs of being too "Chinese" and lack variety in terms of character designs, species, heritages/race etc. But since ML was made globally, their character designs are more diverse and had more variety catering to all players. There are those who prefer sexy male and female character and then there are those who like monster and anthro characters, like myself. I was hyped when Chip was first released and bought him immediately and was shocked that a lot of people hated him cause he wasn't generic sexy anime girl number 100 000. Smh. But ever since HoK went Global, they had an attempt to add a more diversity in terms or character designs like porting AoV characters into the game (i.e Butterfly, Allain and Ata), with Florentino and Lilianna being the next heroes to be ported. Not to mention creating new heroes like Luara which is pleasing to see. I hope they do more in the future. (And before some of y'all come here to call me a "hater", just wanna let ya know that I've played ML for almost 8 years. I've played since S3 back when Clint was still purple.)

i don't know why, MLBB looks all of the character are too confident with their weapons. HOK more logic like the feels the weapons has the weight and their specialty.

Personally, MLBB heroes design are the best for me because it's looks simple but realistic/making sense and not looking too fantasy nor too modern or futuristic, and also, the design of heroes really fits with their Background Cultures, Regions and Lores. While some HoK heroes, for me, almost looks like a Robot / Cyborg because of their Armor or Accessories.

Hok should take notes from mlbb here 7:54 . Both are middle eastern theme characters. mlbb did character justice by giving him face with middle eastern features. while hok gave their hero a typical chinese anime face. Hok seriously lacking diversity.

Being a SEA people, I felt that HOK has more on Asian themes which is due to Chinese audience and market which i think is too much for global players now. Meanwhile I love how MLBB's heroes are more diverse, with SEA themes, western themes and styles and resemblance to black people/characters, my bias is, MLBB is truly international.🌐

I'm a former MLBB player but I pick HoK for this one. HoK is actually chinese and always been targeted the chinese players also they created AoV to westernized and diversified the characters but some people prefer the HoK than AoV. MLBB is diversified to both SEA and west which is great. The reason I choose HoK than MLBB is the role picking which is similar to wildrift but you can change roles in lobby and HoK will designate you to your 2 selected preferred roles while MLBB's role picking is such chaos for me. Their draft pick role picking is too chaotic which I have the anxiety to choose because one grabs the role to the other which forces us to be versatile while HoK one will pick your role based on your prefered roles that you select in lobby. Report system on MLBB is just too unreliable compared to how reliable the report system on old MLBB was. HoK report system is too good.

这是最近改的，以前和mlbb是一样的，毫无疑问是hok更好，因为经过了八年的不断改进，八年前的hok就像现在的mlbb，画质玩法都有很大提升，而且英雄平衡性经过大量玩家对局的数据参考也是得到了改善，现在的hok其实还有很多东西没有补充，因为玩家不可能一下就适应，最近出的那个觉醒之战也是很好玩的，而且最新版本有10v10

Just trying to point out that HoK released first before MLBB and it may been out for a while but some of you didnt know that clint copied marco polo skills and they then gave him a revamp somewhere in late 2018. Yes you heard it right they revamped him to avoid getting sued for copying Marco polo that's been around longer than clint has.

i understand why everyone in hok almost look the same/ same theme bcs their setting is Chinese and they're Chinese characters but i still like the variety of characters in ML. there's some unique and interesting heroes in hok but in comparison to ML they're just not enough. and my personal bias with ML is how they acknowledge the existence of South east asia. in almost every game asian characters are Chinese, Japanese or koreans. the only SEA country that could get recognized was Thailand becs of muay thai. but in ML they have other SEA representation 👍

@@ic0nrc yeah. that's why i started my sentence with I understand HoK is for chinese players,. and my bias with ML is "personal bias" and i know people will have different opinion. Moonton was a small Chinese game studio based on Shanghai, their game ML was sued by Riot and Tencent (China owns Riot, LoL, etc), Tencent got the Chinese government to ban ML in China and basically killed ML. but SEA region revived the game and look at ML now with SEA characters. with the current success of ML (all thanks to SEA region) Bytedance got ML unbanned in China. it's a huge slap against huge tyrant greedy companies like Riot and Tencent. the hypocrisy of suing ML when they themselves are just stolen (LoL is stolen from Dota allstar, a dota dev left the team and sold the concept and made LoL. if you're interested look up Dota Pendragon and how he made LoL). they're scummier than Moonton

The Classic Clint was a copypaste of marco polo but they eventually created Claude and Granger using that Hero skills has base and revamped Clint

Thous how saying hok i am sure they are based. If u look carefully form the start u can see ml is way far more better. Most of the heros of hok are outdated. They need revamp. Yes many heros of ml also outdated. But theres no way people saying hok. Like bruh just look carefully from the start. Bot be baised. Hok heros are outdated.
