Hi Doyle lovely tribute to chet . I am a guitarist in the UK. I lost the end of my finger working . So being a guitarist and it being my fret hand . I was completly down and struggling with life after . But with your videos and the good lord . Ive started to play again . The surgeon could not understand how my finger healed so well and healed over . I prayed and he listened and bought me here 😊 God bless you

Superb! The segue, including tonal change ,from 'Oh, By Jingo' to 'Three Little Words' Chet would have loved. But then Mr. Guitar, late in life, when asked "Is there anyone you'd pay to see," responded immediately, "Oh, someone like Doyle Dykes."

Chet "best fingerpicker" honestly today you are by far the best fingerpicker in the world. Years ago I saw a video of yours and had no idea who you were. I have been hooked ever since. (Although you make me want to just throw all my guitars away because I wish I can play your style and never will) love your playing, keep posting videos Please

Wow ! Just stumbled across this you tube site and am amazed by your playing and the beautiful guitars. But more importantly it became very clear your walk with the Lord and your spirit. God's given you some special talent and I am so happy I found you. Can't help gravitate to your interesting smile pocket shirts and western jackets hanging in the background. Long story short but I am up in Canada in beautiful Victoria British Columbia. I moved out here from Ottawa. Ontario back in 1994 via Nashville where I had the good fortune of befriending Ray Walker of the Jordanaires. I recently spoke with him and he's now I believe 89 years old. He became a pastor like his father and he and Marilyn his dear wife stillblive in Goodlettsville Tennessee. Just curious if you ever crossed paths with Ray ? Funny cause when I heard him sing in person I felt I should never sing again and now I get the same feeling after hearing you play those guitars I should never play again. Lol But I still do both but ever so humble now. Where can I purchase anyvof those garments though ? Cheers Bob Evoy

I understand too well. I didn't ever meet Chet, but I said for many years I would love to meet him. I remember the TNN program when they told us that Chet lost his battle to cancer. Well I can say now Doyle, You're my Guitar Hero. I've been playing now 57 Years and I Pray I can meet and just jam with my Guitar Hero someday Love You Man and may God continue to Richly Bless You

The best I’ve ever heard. You make those guitars more than talk. I’ve been listening for over two hours , nonstop.. I keep backing it up and listening to them over and over. I can’t believe anyone can play like that. Thank you so much.

Love your stories and your talent, thanks Mr. Dykes! The songs you have in your head is amazing. You have been a favorite since i picked up a guitar, unfortunately i didnt pick that guitar up till i was 66, so no matter how much i practice i can never come close. Wish i had found you 20 years ago! God bless you and yours.

My favorite Chet tune is yakety axe. All the others are great marvels of technical playing and such but yakety axe makes me laugh. I know Boots wrote it and played it, Benny Hill had it as his theme, but I laugh at Chet playing that song. God bless y’all, we’ll meet when the roll is called up yonder

Doyle. Slow down man and make it precise. Herky jerky is not plain to hear. Better arrangement before you play would help some too. No pun intended.
