The Little Girl Who Lived Down the Lane is my all time favorite JF film. Some of my other favorites are The Accused, Nell, Sommersby, The Brave One, & Panic Room. Jodie is a fantastic actress & so deserving of this award. ♥ 👏👏👏

Turner Classic Movies is to be applauded for recognizing and celebrating Jodie Foster for a life and cinematic career. Too many times have a lifetime of exceptional accomplishments been recognized and awarded posthumously. But not this time!

@@pinkparis, I'll give a perfect example of no appreciation until after she died; is Laura Nyro. She passed away in 1997. Laura was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. I was very worried that would happen to Chaka Khan. She started with the band Rufus in 1972. Chaka Khan was inducted into The Hall of Fame last year (2023)! That's 51 years. That's why I'm happy for Jodie Foster.

Jodie Foster is an actor of exceptional talent, depth and beauty who was always ahead of her peers, by the time actors of her age were in their diapers she was making commercials, by the time they learned to speak, she was making movies for Disney, by the time they starting going to the school, she was winning awards and getting nominated for the Oscars, by the time they decided to enter films, Jodie decided to leave it behind and enjoy the ivy league world which she graduated with magna cum laude, by the time her peers had their breakthrough she already had won two Oscars and transitioned to the director's chair. An extraordinary talent, who's contribution to cinema is unparalleled and exquisite. A sheer gift to the world of acting and filmmaking.

My most favourite actress, ever since childhood, my fave movie " little girl down the lane", a survivor with Martin Sheen's "creepy character".
