Gas, petrol, diesel, toll, public transport prices, etc.- everything is skyrocketing because of PRIVATIZATION! “Good days’ are only of MODANI & friends; not for the poor and lower middle class!! @@ji29380 I don't think you understand ABC of economics and checking the credibility of international media. First, If you believe Global Hunger Index then you also believe people in Pakistan are better off than India. Please check the index completely. Second, India's GDP to Debt ratio, according to IMF and the World Bank ideal for other developing economies to follow. India's GDP was similar to that of Pakistan for most of the years, except under PM Modi. Look carefully at how India did for the first 50 years under Congress rule. Pakistan had higher GDP than India. (World Bank charts). If our previous governments had done more infrastructure development, we would have more manufacturing. Most large multinational companies preferred to open manufacturing in Vietnam and Malaysia before the Modi government's Made in India programs. One of the reasons companies shy away from many states in India is due to a lack of infrastructure and red tape by the state governments. India First agenda is needed to move us forward. Adani was in business before Modi came to power. Adani is still in business while the banks in the US went bankrupt. It is easier today to start a business today than 10 years ago. Till now I have not seen Congress/AAP/regional parties come up with a roadmap on how they see India developing. Please tell me what their plan is to make India grow. faster.

Netaji's contribution to the nation is so underrated here and described very lightly, you have no idea what he has given us, not a mere island. Read below to understand who deserves the highest honor of the country after independence, A conversation took place between former British Prime Minister Clement Attlee and the then acting Governor of West Bengal Justice PB Chakraborthy. In 1956, Clement Attlee had come to India and stayed as a guest of the then Governor. Remember, Attlee was the man who, as the British PM, had signed on the decision to grant Independence to India. Chakraborthy then wrote a letter to the publisher of RC Majumdar’s book, A History of Bengal. In this letter, the Chief Justice wrote, “When I was acting Governor, Lord Attlee, who had given us Independence by withdrawing British rule from India, spent two days in the Governor’s palace during his tour of India. At that time, I had a prolonged discussion with him regarding the real factors that had led the British to quit India.” Chakraborthy adds, “My direct question to Attlee was that since Gandhi’s Quit India movement had tapered off quite some time ago and in 1947 no such new compelling situation had arisen that would necessitate a hasty British departure, why did they had to leave?... Attlee cited several reasons, the principal among them being the erosion of loyalty to the British crown among the Indian Army and Navy personnel as a result of Netaji’s military activities.” That’s not all. Chakraborthy adds, “Toward the end of our discussion, I asked Attlee what was the extent of Gandhi’s influence upon the British decision to quit India. Hearing this question, Attlee’s lips became twisted in a sarcastic smile as he slowly chewed out the word, m-i-n-i-m-a-l. Know who is the real father of the nation.

wow so many many monuments.. modi era will go down in india history when so many many national monuments have been created. When I am in the US i visit washington monument, lincoln memorial, vietnam memorial, independance hall, liberty bell in philadephia, mount rushmore national monument etc etc and always wonder how come india does not celebrate its equally impressive freedom struggle and founding fathers. I hope and pray someone will make a movie about how Indians were tortured by British. Cellular Jail is one such example. I graduated from 12th grade in the 1980s. Our NCERT textbooks did not have any reference to so much of our history.
