Man, the Red Wings really make up for all the Lions misery. What an incredibly classy, fan friendly, and winning organization.

It's always nice seeing Vladdy again. I remember this team so well. I can't believe it's been 25 years!

I'm a Rangers fan, but also recognize greatness. Vladi was as ferocious a competitor as has EVER played the game. It is that toughness that enabled him to survive the unthinkable. I'm so happy the Detroit fans continue to take him into their hearts. I also forget how tough this team was. Loved Kocur as a Ranger, but he's definitely a Wing.

Thanks! I been a Redwings fan since 1987 despite having to move to multiple different states. Gerard Gallant was #17, our assistant Captain, Steve Yzerman's best buddy - and a great player I really loved him. Hence - I'm an honorary Rangers fan this playoffs! Coach Gallant - good man. He was great player - he scored well but also he was scrappy - took on any enforcer he had to take on.

@@MPDLR: Gallant used to routinely come into MSG and literally beat the sh$t out of the Rangers!!! Love him as a coach.

It’s so sad for Konstantinov too. It breaks my heart seeing him like that, I wish the accident never happened for him. He could have a great career.

Every one of those players would gladly give that Cup back if it meant 16 and the trainer didn't have that happen to them. It was such a high that first week after they finally got over the hump...but it all ended that night.

I wish the Wings would put the “C” and “A” back on the left side of the jersey again. I know it’s not a big deal and I know back in the day they used to be on the right shoulder but I just prefer the way the look being on the left side 🤷🏼♂️

@@nba_fanboy_0425 sandstorm wore 28 that year. Homer was forced to change his number from 15 to well known 96 due to a guy named dimitri mironov, Boris’ older brother.

@@mikegrey5663 No, Fedorov played for Red Wings from 1990 to 2003 so he obviously was part of the winning team. But you meant that he was in KHL during this ceremony that's wrong too because he retired in 2012.
