As Salaamu Alaikum! As someone who experienced both the Nation of Islam and the Church as a child growing up and who had read both the Bible and the Qur'an by the time I was in my teenage years, I really appreciate this symposium because I became a committed student of Imam Warithuddin Mohammed after becoming a student of the Qur'an first so that I could use "The Book of ALLAH" as my criterion for the leadership that I should follow. So I have been with "The Imam" since my late teens. And I am still his student more than 44yrs later. ALLAH u AKBAR!!

As they talked about the Bean pies I thought about a Sister who was with Imam Warithuddin Mohammed and had a Brother or two with the Imam and a Brother or two with Minister Farrakhan, She used to not only make Bean pies and Bean soup but also small Bean cakes shaped like the Twinkies that people buy in the stores. But they were delicious, nutritious Bean cakes. Just thinking about them have gotten my taste buds stirred up.

The Radeyallāhu ′Anhu (ra ) is the honorific that is only bestowed on the companions of the Prophet ﷺ. Imam WD Muhammad was indeed an honorable Sunni Muslim could not have one of Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ companions.

Studied NOI in early yrs and joined in 1975 under Imam W D Muhammad at Temple #12.. Change can be uncomfortable but you can't grow without change. Stand on truth not falsehood. Division in black community has always been a ill even in the N.OI. Pastor Gino Jennings in Philly teachings is in line with scripture and Imam's view. Many Christians don't follow scripture.

As a Sunni Muslim I have respect for Mr. Muhammad It must have been challenging at times to transition and merge together what was in essence 2 different and at times opposing religions. The principles of Sunni Islam are at stark odds with a number of the principles of the Nation.

Whatever the good brother tried to bring forward for the minds, it still did not break the chains that been put on the minds. The people still walking around with hate that lock their minds from being able to breathe right. I watched many who think they have rose from the dark into the light, but nothing in them shows anything about being so bright. The conditions around them are still the same, and the people moving still in the selfish game. All one can hear is words with no substance to anything. What is power when the slave mind will not let go of all the poison that made their name. They learn to hate the same, when the poison captured the range. So, tell me with a conscious mind, what is it that one says they rose to awareness when the path one taking is the same?

I heard you say that Malcolm would have been a student of Warith? Warith Dean was a Govt agent that poisoned Malcolm and had him killed to become the successor of the Nation then he destroyed the Nation and everything that his father built in 3 years. The job of Mahdi is to bring us back to the position of Adam A.S. then unite the Muslims all over the world. the Honorable Elijah Muhammad gave all wings and knowledge of self, and Farrakhan is the best student hands down. We are not Arabs and dont want to be! The are many cultural differences and none of them came to teach us Islam because they cannot and will not do it! Islams for them is under the sword and Shariah laws cannot be applied in the Americas
