Wow, what a magical moment for me when I saw rob walk past and I shouted, “outside your zone” to him and he immediately stopped in his tracks and come over and said hi. I was totally star stuck to meet you boys and my son Harley couldn’t stop talking about you guys all the way home. What an honour it was, seriously!!!!!! You boys are my hero’s!!!!!!! Thanks so much for giving us some time, it meant a lot to us!! Listen, Harley and myself would really love to come up and help send you boys of on your big trip, to show our support. Private message me and we can have a proper chat about it… I want to be there when you guys set sail. If I’ve fixed my boat in time I might even be able to follow you out of the harbour waving out OYZ flags, lol!!!!!😜 get in touch!!!!!!

I’ll probably be announcing a date for that in a few weeks so keep a look out for that video! I’ll see if I can do it in the 2 weeks your at redcliff so you don’t miss out buddy. Was good to see you on Saturday (I was the guy with the yellow Boatworld SIB at Baiter), the Honwave looked great in person. With a 15hp 2 stroke, I manage to get 25 mph which feels a bit too sketchy on such a light boat. I’ll be there for the meet up.
@Budgee197 Жыл бұрын
Yes it was nice to see you !!! 25mph in that boat , wow! Yeah that must of been scary, fair play 😜

Always loved your vids mate but you need to be aware of the bylaws in Poole Harbour. There is a 10 knot speed limit in the harbour from the 1st April and no water toys are allowed to be towed. It's a busy old piece of water and no one wants to see any injuries mate. I live in Poole and have a boat so it would be great to see you guys on the water one day! Have a great summer!
@Budgee197 Жыл бұрын
We did get pulled up by the harbour master for towing the toys. He was quite nice about it and said there are certain areas we can use for the toys. He gave us a good book with maps showing the areas we a allowed to go. I was gonna do a video on it so my followers don’t make the same mistakes. Thanks for the heads up but unfortunately we found out the hard way, lol no fines luckily this time but at least we know for next time. I don’t want to be a bad influence on my viewers!!!👍

PHC are pretty good to be honest and are always happy to help out. Glad you didn't get a fine mate! Fingers crossed for a good summer! 🤞👍

Are you allowed water toys in studland bay?
@Budgee197 Жыл бұрын
All around stud land and knoll beach they have yellow marker bouys . Inside is 5mph and outside you can do what you like. The harbour master said one you past the chain ferry your all good to do what you like!

Do I really need a trailer for Honwave TRIP or better keep it in a big car trunk?
@Budgee1972 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for your question!!!! I find a trailer much less work for launching. You can leave your boat set up ready to hit the water without all the setup time of constructing the boat together from scratch. It really depends on where you regularly launch from really. Some launch sites are great for a trailer launch. Some launch sites are a nightmare with a trailer. If you get a trailer and also fit launching wheels to the boat you can have the best of both worlds with or without the use of a trailer. 100% get the trailer for endless possibilities!!!!👍

We dropped anchor at studland for the first time on Saturday. We didn't realise it had a nudist section until I realised me and the kids were surrounded by sausage and fried eggs 🤣. Sea was calm though. 3ft swells today.

Hi what launching wheels do you have on sib 👍
@Budgee197 Жыл бұрын
The wheels were already on the boat when I purchased it. The guy I bought it off did say they were genuine Honda wheels but I’m really not sure. I do know they are very good quality and very strong. Check the Honwave website they might have some!
@jordandoesmx9862 Жыл бұрын
budgee mate i think your outboard is too low in the water, you can see a v of water spraying behind your engine from it dragging in the water. the cavitation plate needs to be level with your hull for the engine to be set at the correct height. it will run a LOT quicker. you can make a riser with some wood to raise your engine on the transom

Great video there mate! Glad to see the boat is up and running well, although it still sounded ok in the first bit of the video. Where did you launch from? Also, when I bumped into you at the boat show in February, you mentioned a campsite in wareham with a slipway, could you tell me the nsme?
@Budgee197 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I remember you well my friend!!! Thanks for watching and for the continued support you’ve shown us😁 We launched at baiter park in poole. The campsite is on the wareham river and it’s called redcliff farm, basic but next to the waters edge with its own slipway. Not sure how much the campsite is per night but I know you have to pay an additional £5 to use the slipway. Hope that helps mate👍
@captainlandslide9874 Жыл бұрын
Oh mate that’s awesome, cheers so much! I’ll look it up. Wanna use it to get a little bit of sea experience, looks like a good place to start 😃. And no problem at all I love watching your vids, you and Harley are a good team 👍. Would love to catch you on the water sometime 😃👍

I am thinking of doing a meet up some time over the summer as I’ve had so many people ask if they can join Harley and myself on the water. It’s should be a great day for all that come. Be nice to see you there, if your free to attend. Keep a lookout on the channel for more information. It will definitely be a baiter park in poole but I’m just juggling some dates around so everyone I need to help organise it can attend on the day. Be nice to see you again mate!!!😁

Definitely keep me posted buddy! As long is it’s on a weekend I haven’t got the kids (they’re a bit too young and feral to keep control of at the moment 🤪) then I’m in! I’ve still got to find a bigger motor for my 3.3m SIB too but I’m waiting for the right bargain to come along haha. Only got a 4hp at the moment (zips along quite nicely with just me on it on Ullswater though!)
@ryanferris7841 Жыл бұрын
Mate that should be doing around 27 mph max! I get 25mph from my honwave t40 with a 25h and once you get use to the power you will want more lol
@Budgee197 Жыл бұрын
Really???😮 Maybe I’ll go for a bigger prop then? To be fair the prop that is on it now is pretty chewed up so that probably the issue? It was more than fast enough for me but I feel a bit short changed now you’ve said that ☹️ It’s a project anyway so it’s all been a bit trial and error up till now. That means more trials and more videos so watch this space😁 Thanks for your advice Ryan 👍

@@Budgee197 I reckon you will have doing 27 mph in no time a few tweaks here and there! Looking forward to more videos.
