Nice one Harley. I’ve been riding on the road since 1985, did 9 years of schoolboy motorcross before that. I’m guessing you don’t go motorcross anymore?

Good to see Harley is riding wearing kit. I see so many youngsters nowadays in shorts and flip flops without gloves which makes me cringe. I’ve been riding dirt and sports bikes for 45yrs for pleasure and professionally and although I’ve sweated by balls off at times, I’ve always been respected by bike cops for doing so. I lobbed my VFR up the the road near Mende in France a few years ago and slid over 100 yds on my knees,boots and gloves, but when I stood up there wasn’t a mark on me. Real bikers don’t take the piss do people wearing kit, only jokers do without a clue. Welcome to the biking world Harley, just don’t buy one, they’re sh1t.😂👍

@Budgee1973 күн бұрын
Thanks!😁 Yes we will never forget that , it’s locked in the memory bank😜. The lid is made of an old house for sale board, it’s like a hard plastic cardboard, that’s the best way I can describe it really. It’s quite sturdy. We used cable ties to make the hinges for opening and closing it. We had fun making it and it really does work quite well and keeps all you tackle neatly on one place😜

Yeah, I know. I can’t figure out why it’s not better. Everything seems to be in good working order but just need to try some more adjustments to get the full potential from it. Really it should do well over 25-33mph. 17 for a 6hp it amazing though, wow!😮

Check the air pressures in the water as they will drop.also noticed you had quite a bit of spray of your outboard leg.you might want to lift it higher on the transom.not the tilt but the hight.get someone behind you to see where your cavitation plate is on the plane

You need a tacho... just to check its reaching max rpm and also not over revving (although you'd tell as mine hits the limiter on my own) I would be happy with that speed myself. Make sure to run premium fuel to as it definitely helps me.

@@Budgee197 make sure your pressure is at its absolute maximum especially in the keel, I remember 1 time while out on the lough my t40 wasn’t going over 20 mph I couldn’t figure it out, turned out it was an air pressure issue in the keel after I sorted it the boat flew engine revved out like it should and I hit 24/25 mph

@stuartliamrae5 күн бұрын
Yes will lose pressure from the cold water. Will make a difference. Also put all the weight to the back of the boat and put a riser block in between engine and transom around 1/2 inch to raise the engine/prop

Engine sounds like its running at or almost top rpm, smooth run. You will get a little more out of it when you next time run in salt water as its more dense, creates less prop slip, and a mph or two more in speed!

I suppose we could have a starter at one pub the main meal at the next and dessert at the next then cheese and biscuits and so on, lol! Yeah, it was a special milestone. They all looked proper grown up. He’s not a kid anymore, it all flys by so fast. You find yourself wishing away a lot of things like: “ I wish they could hold their own bottle as a baby” I wish they could sit up” I wish they could get out of nappies” I wish they could walk” “I wish they could talk” And so on. People shouldn’t wish any of it away because before you know it you’re attending their prom night and it’s all flown by so quickly. If I had the time back again I wouldn’t wish anything away. Makes you realise how short life is and we subconsciously all wish special memories away. To be honest that is the sole reason I started my KZbin channel so I could freeze all the special memories on videos and have something to look back at. Harley’s children will always be able to sit and look back at the videos and watch their dad growing up in the videos and hopefully remember me when I’m dead and gone. I’m basically building an autobiography and it’s all on tape!!!😁
