I had never heard of this song until my father introduced it to me. He was a bad man for so long and he used this song to apologize and to tell me he was changing. I didnt fully believe him until he passed away on July 31st 2019. I finally realised that he had been sober from drugs for almost five years while I was in denial and kept ignoring him. I had only just started telling him I loved him a few months before he passed. My uncle told me that when he passed the last thing anyone told him was that "Kyra loves you, she couldn't be here but she loves you." And then he flatlined. I was about four hours away and wouldn't have gotten there in time. He died at 4:50 pm. I had just finished eating dinner at the foster placement I was in. So I listen to this song in remembrance of him.

Jude Gestalt​ Theory: People were sad back then but they want to be known. There are still sad people now, but they're known and lesser than before(I guess?) Edit: there are _way more_ at the present after all plus they get mocked most of the time when they want to be loud about their sadness. Most of the people now wants to be happy-go-lucky and go "party-party~!" so lots of not-serious songs are written now or those about sex and drugs are written now. I guess teens back then were WAY too pressured about others' expectations and stuff and songs about this were more relate-able and more pronounced than the happier, upbeat type of songs... But yes. There were A LOT of sex and drugs songs before only, a little more subtle or people didn't really notice these two in the songs because of how they're camouflaged by the upbeat melodies and stuff...
