It means they don't have a problem with being assaulted in public - as long as a black man isn't doing it . Some call it violence against women .Look how it went with Ray Rice and others in the NBA , NFL and boxing and other venues that involve black men . You'll even see them repeat the same incident on video again and again . Women returning to that store means they have no dignity , no self respect .People in this country band together to bring down black enterprise , if they have problems with something we do or say . If a black m,an owned that place , he would be gone for assault .As long as it is not a black man - a lot of black women have no problems with being abused , kicked , punched, slapped , thrown down or whatever takes place .That black man was standing there being polite and that woman came up like he snatched her purse . The power is in the purchase .All she had to do is not go back there .Her and all the rest who stood in the line of - no dignity .

Amen! I question any products (made) specifically for Afro (natural) hair. Since many of us have completely stopped using relaxers and weaves, why wouldn’t they target those products made specifically for us? I think about this daily. Some of that stuff may even cause baldness, so that sisters have no choice but to use weave. Then, they make sure none of these “beauty supply” stores are black- owned by creating a monopoly on the actual beauty supply business. Black women buy 90% of the products in these stores, own maybe 10% of the stores worldwide, and then we wonder why they would have the arrogance or audacity to attack us. They know no matter what they do “we will come” and spend all of our money; I’ve noticed the products have tripled in price over the last decade! Many of the owners hate us, but love our money. We have to be thinkers and analyze the situation. I don’t trust it anymore, so I pray for our people. On the other hand, we have to understand that everyone in our community is not on the same level mentally or socially. You can scream injustice, but they will never understand because they are still in survival mode. They’ve been brainwashed so long and only want to look beautiful! Please, don’t give up because although some of our people may be lost causes, there are still educated and conscious people who want us to thrive right here in Houston!!! There's a brother here in Chattanooga, TN that has his own business that sells hair care products; wigs, weave, etc... yet a lot of our people want to go down the street to the Asian store because the prices are better. I don't care. If I decide to put that mess in my head, I'll always go to him. I order my skin and hair care products from my own people. All my hair and skin products are natural and organic. I have met two of these sisters and one of them I've known since high school. Or I order from Shea Moisture. There is no excuse.

There should not be a single black person at that hair product supply shop at all. It should be a ghost town inside of that shop. All it took was for that Asian owner to mark everything off by 50%, and the owner gets a beeline outside his shop. And that female that was going in on that black man, that was protesting, I am certain she would never show the exact same disdain for that Asian business owner.
