Going around the south side of Mt Hood (US route 26 to OR route 35 and down through the Hood River Valley) is another great way to get to Hood River.

Thanks explorer for the other tip for the other explorers! We do love that way too, after hanging out at Mt. Hood it's a good stop along the way if you aren't in a rush to get home!

I’m seriously considering moving to Hood River for work. I’m from Southern California and ever since I was a kid I always told myself and anybody who’d listen that I’d move to Oregon one day. I wonder if this is my calling. I read about the wind there. How often is it windy?

I would for sure tell anyone visit a few different times in different season. It can be windy, rain, and snow in the winter. Summers are beautiful! We love Hood River tho!

@@youandmeexploring I’ll be heading up there for a few days before the end of the year. It’s time to get out of CA. I’ve always enjoyed the cold weather. It may be a perfect fit for me. Thank you for the advice.

I love your channel! It's so cute and whimsical. I have a couple questions, is Hood River a good town to visit for solo traveling? and is there any other way to get to Hood River besides driving on the two highways. I really want to do some traveling next year and so I'm making plans and putting money aside so I can explore the world on my own! thank you so much xoxo

Hi 👋🏼 this is Alyssa! It’s a great town for everyone!! I highly recommend going here! I would recommend going anytime during spring, summer, or fall. I would look into Fruit Loop Drive and see what you want to see and what time it’s in season. The down town of Hood River has stores, and restaurants. Mt. Hood is very close, I would recommend staying at Timberline lodge. You can easily drive there first from Portland area then to Hood River. I hope this helps you for your exploring! Thanks for watching our videos, glad you like them! It always nice to hear that people are enjoying ☺️
