Aww. You two are the best hikers around. The sound of the trains always gives me chills. I don't get to hear or see them often. A lovely walk on one of those warm November days and great images of finding flowers, that really giant leaf! and the beautiful mergansers, heron and those elegant swans. Oh its terrible,, had a fire in my town! Thick smoke!! I worry about the wildlife and the Firefighters! The high winds are making it so dangerous! Hard to believe the beginning of the year we were flooded!! So sad! Oh how I love the Mergansers!

I think Conner helps you stay young, climbing through all kinds of things at those parks. Hooded Merganser is one of my favorites! We got to see our Sandhill Cranes come back after a morning feeding here in SE AZ. They spend the winter at a few wetlands in SE AZ.
