These guys make me feel proud to be Australian. Hit after hit of timeless classics. Such an amazing band still creating major boogie time at live gigs in 2024. Seeing The Gurus live is a celebration of top of the food chain Oz rock and roll. Keep the hits coming boys I’m all ears.❤

@@benwilkins2998 Not helped by the fact that Mark Kingsmill's brother, Richard, had a long career at Triple J, and when he held the position of Music Director he refused to give airplay to the Hoodoo Gurus for fear of perceived bias. FY Richard Kingsmill!

In the day when this song was huge, I was driving through Beaudesert QLD, There was a Cafe, out the front of it was a group of teenagers, the blokes were wearing just denim jeans and a pair of thongs, no shirts. This one young bloke had one of those ridiculously huge portable cassette players up on his shoulder and had this song pumping out full volume. No doubt they were very cool dudes. That's the memory this song brings back to me. Those stereos used take like 12 "D" cell batteries and they'd last for about 2hrs. Cost a fortune in batteries.
