Good video of showing what the town is actually like. Crime rate here is off the charts for such a small town. Look up Liberty New York crime rate and anyone can see.I’m writing this in early September and within 6 months (since March) 5+ drug busts, a baby got into fent, od’d and passed away, a singular, double, and triple stabbing happened (all different incidents and all public record) a shooting and plenty of assaults and robberies. Crazy to see what my town had become.

I'm from Monticello. Equally a hellhole. A petri dish of nothing put pretentious arrogance, trashy drama, drugs, and degrneracy. I was never happier to escape to Georgia. I don't think I need to tell you, but some of those people have absolutely no class.

One of the most depressing towns in NY. Looks like somewhere in Alabama.

Bit biased on the cuts there. Missed going down the entire main street to showcase businesses (Munson's, Liberty Theater, Bridge and Tunnel, Sweet Basil Thai, Floyd & Bobo's bakery, Town & Country Antiques, etc.) or the greater town area (Walnut Mountain Park, Arthur's Animal Santuary, Hanofee Park, 17 West Brewery, Chick E Ribs BBQ, etc.). Instead, opting for streets that don't truly give credit to a town rebuilding and rebranding. The Monster golf course just reopened. Holiday Mountain is going through a revitalization. Bill Murray is a member at Sullivan County Golf and Country Club! Grossingers is a sleeping monster ready to be reborn. Choose to look at it how you want, but I'm excited to see what the future holds for the Liberty, NY!

Putting punctuation aside, it seems like you might be missing the crux of my point. The the video doesn't provide any insights into neighborhood statistics, population growth, or ongoing efforts for improvement. So all we see is the editing done on video around town. Specifically, there are missed opportunities, evident at three points in the video (at 6:00, 8:50, and 9:40, to be precise), where the entire length of Main Street-home to numerous town businesses-is not showcased. I'm emphasizing the strategic cuts that, in my view, don't effectively highlight the heart of the neighborhood, especially when it's in the midst of a rebranding effort. I'm drawing a comparison with other towns like Roscoe and Livingston that have successfully undergone revitalization in recent years. Despite the challenges, there's reason to believe that Liberty could experience a similar transformation, given the town's recent wins. Naturally, this won't happen overnight. Let's keep the dialogue open on how best to represent the town's progress accurately.

There was a great athlete named Chad Washington who went to high school there in the early 2000s
