Campbell, Ohio | A Dying Rust Belt City

This place looks like the aftermath of a war! Part of the city of Campbell Ohio (also known as Soup City) is just flat out abandoned and in ruins. I was shocked to see people actually living in some of those houses! Quiet and haunting.
Its an amazing trip to see how bad this place looks. To be honest though the people that I talked to off camera were actually very nice. Parts of this place is actually of historic value, and its really cool to see it!
The row homes you see in the early part of the video are Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company Homes. This is the first pre fab concrete estate built in the world, between 1918 - 1920. Back in the late 1970's when the industrial era was coming to an end and the steel mills were closing, this area became less and less populated. The homes around the area became abandoned, and a lot of the town folded up and looks like what you see today. I understand there was at some point an interest in renovating these homes, but I haven't seen anything happen in a very long time. Condition of these houses vary however yes, some people do live in them. Are they haunted, well thats up to you to decide.
So with that said, heres some of the worst parts, new and old, of Campbell, Ohio.
