Great ride through. Thanks for the stats. I stopped the video in the beginning to read the sign on that first building. It's a historical landmark and it gives you the backstory of that building and what it was used for. Pretty cool. It's sad to see the city in the condition it's in. The murder rate per capita is actually the 2nd highest in the country. I'd love to see a city like this completely revived again. It has some great old buildings, both homes and businesses. Thanks for the ride. 🤠👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

That first building really got my attention. I can't see what the text says because I'm looking at this on my phone. What was the building used for?

Thank you fot another fascinating drive. I was touched by the remnants of Ol World charm in many of the commercial and residential buildings. Bet this was a lovely community in its heyday.

Thanks for the ride and not using background music, as it can be annoying and distracting. So sad to see these old towns go to rack and ruin and those beautiful Southern houses dilapidated. 😢

It's good that you did not use any background music. The silence is disturbing

I grew up here and it's still so depressing even when I visit. It's a nice place to visit but I'm glad to get the heck up on out of there.

I lived in Fredericksburg VA from 2012-2017 And drove through Petersburg several times. It wasn’t doing so well during those years either.

I found the old school the most interesting. I like old schools and churches. Old schools and churches need to be preserved. They are landmarks.

Looks remarkably like Chicopee, MA where I grew up. Difference is, when the old mills (and later the Air Force Base) closed in Chicopee, the city had established it as a desirable bedroom community and continues to prosper.

This was kind of a scary ride, barely seeing anybody walking around barely any cars driving. It’s as if it truly is a ghost town.
