That is one healthy-looking hoof. Never seen one that clean and well shaped BEFORE the trim. I also like how it doesn't just crumble with the knife. Nice smooth cuts. 👌🏻 Very satisfying.

If you do such a great job off camera as you do on, you must have very happy clients. Also i would like to see the horses face that you are working on, plus the man behind those hands.

Hey! I’m new to the work of farriers and I was wondering why some horse shoes (like the white part) are cracked and some aren’t?
@kimcallaghan34042 жыл бұрын
That "white part" isn't a horseshoe, thats the sole of of horses hoof.

Is it hard shaving the hoof ? I don’t know if it’s called shaving or cutting with the knife

Just out of curiosity, what's the point of marking the horse's hoof before attaching the horseshoe?
@feathersong58382 жыл бұрын
Hot shoeing makes sure the shoe fits the horse correctly and also creates a nice little comfy spot for the shoe to sit flat with the hoof.

this is probably gonna sound pretty stupid to people who know about horses, but why do you need to replace horseshoes? is it kinda like how you would replace press on nails? i don’t get it
@dancing.with.adagio2 жыл бұрын
Stuff can get caught under them, the hoof grows and needs to be kept as trimmed as possible, and with trims, the hoof can change shape a little. Once the hoof grows out enough, it begins to feel like a tight runner would feel on your feet!

Try putting the right amount of Nails in that shoe let me tell you that shoe is too big putting pressure on the frog
@feathersong58382 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, because you know the horse and the owners personally and know all their exact needs from a few minute long video. I'm assume you're also an expert ferrier too then?
