Just because furries have a different passion than *you* it doesn't mean they're a threat. Just because you find them cringe, or weird, that doesn't mean everybody does. That's selfish. That would be being a therian, not a furry. Some therians are furries, but not all furries are therians. Being a furry doesn't mean believing you're a different animal. It's just fun to do something out of the human norm for a while. Like a kid playing dress up, but instead of human clothes... dressing up as an animal. Playing around and being silly, having fun. Also, insulting someone's beliefs, regardless of how you feel about it, is never cool. Even if they ARE being very awkward and uncomfortable (and we all know tons of therians, especially the angsty teens, do that). It just makes you look like a dick.
