Thanks Piet! I had no idea how much work goes into looking after your dairy herd. Every time I buy a 4 liter milk at the store I think of you.

Piet, a good way to locate in floor water lines is to use infrared thermometer. just waite for cool day and concrete should be warmer the closer you are to water line

Thanks! It would take some time to do a large area, but it would be an option.

Best trimmer i worked with used a pair of Bull nose or End cutter pliers, it was quiet, did not bother the cows.

That's a nice shoot. We used to trim cows while standing back in the day, but when they start kicking it's not a fun job. Great content, thank you,

Yeah, I'm with you on leaving certain cow ailments to other KZbin channels! There are plenty of channels that specialize in that sort of stuff already! How about doing a video on training a new heifer on how to enter the milking parlor and be milked. I'm interested in seeing how intelligent cows are and how quickly they pick up the routine of being milked multiple times a day. Is it fairly common to have to use physical force on a new heifer to get her to line up correctly in the stall?
@pietvanbedaf-nddairyfarmer90472 жыл бұрын
It's not uncommon to have to help push her into place the first time or two. Typically, after they figure out what happens in the parlor, they will get comfortable with entering the parlor.
