Hi Silver. You can see this same connection of communicating and history of telling in Maggies eyes. This is so fascinating. WHAT A GORGEOUS JOB! I can´t believe how great this is played. As a kid I didn´t realize. Were they aware back then? I was a little kid and I was magically turned into a wonderland watching story´s wie Robin Williams. Story´s with Robin, they are so classic. Well I must say, I miss him. Story´s with Maggie, they always have this little lovely picaro. I am stunned with this great talent of Maggie. You know actresses and actors have a really hard job. Their job is to tell story´s in moving pictures and they have to show the feelings of character in their best doable way. And some of them are just marvellous. I feel blessed to know this scene and the story. I am also blessed to know that I know Maggie before I learned about her as Minverva. Good to see, that movie making is like a little family, where the great actresses and actors work together like a big family. This is gorgeous to see. Well done.

Man it’s a shame this was not appreciated when it was released. This scene was so well done. There’s so many layers out into it. You can just tell that Peter was extremely uncomfortable being there, though he probably couldn’t quite understand why the deep down he knew the history.

You have to remember and I speak as someone who saw this in theaters when it came out. This film faced HEAVY competition at the time. What would later be revealed in the years after was just how much of a nightmare production was as the film was HEAVILY reshot. The film had good word of mouth but it wasn’t jumping for joy by any means.

Feels like a reverse of the young boy scene where his parents have a new kid which makes he feel uncomfortable and unwanted. Here he’s wanted but the house makes him uncomfortable since a lot of the people are gone aside from Wendy, Tootles, and Liza. Plus it seems like there’s always unfinished business. Plus he’s very forgetful which is a callback to the original when he went to fetch Wendy for spring cleaning he practically forgot their first adventure

Crazy to think that Wendy had a framed photo of Peter as he once was and kept it right there in the front room. To any visitor it’s just a childhood photograph of one of the many orphans she helped during her life, but only Wendy and Tootles would know it was a real photograph of a supposedly fictional literary character. It also adds to Peter’s suppressed memories that he is unable to recognize himself in his youth. Even wilder is that, since it’s a black and white photo, you’re never really sure if it was taken shortly after he decided to stay, or during one of his many other visits with Wendy.

You can tell at 2:53 how Wendy noticed how much Peter has changed and not for the better. She sees how broken he is and understands but keeps it to herself to play the part for the family. @@cjsk45 Because Peter went back to Neverland and when he finally returned Wendy was older and had a granddaughter, Moira, who Peter then took to Neverland as well. So there were long periods of time when Peter didn't age, but Wendy did. The time stop even affected Wendy's grand daughter, Peter's wife, which is why she has such an old grandmother.

@@cjsk45 She only went to Neverland every once in a while until she was too old to travel. Peter stayed in Neverland so therefore he didn’t age. He only decided to leave Neverland when he saw Wendy’s granddaughter(Moira) grown up and fell in love with her. He was essentially immortal until then.

He would have been her age if he had stayed when Wendy was young and they would've aged together. So basically time stopped for him going back but not her, then his time went like the rest aging with her granddaughter his future wife by never returning to Nederland where the other boys stayed boys since they never left.

I found out of Maggie’s passing. This is the first movie I remember seeing her in when I was 11. Although she is supposed to be in her 80’s in this movie, I found out she was only in her late 50’s after the movie. Remarkable acting career. Thank you Maggie 😇

Sad day today. Rip Dame Maggie, such a legend. Have fond childhood memories of watching her in 'hook', 'the secret garden' and 'sister act' her later roles in Harry Potter, Downton Abbey etc were equally as brilliant but just not as poignant for me as those 3 classics. Today is the day Dame Maggie Smith has passed away. This is the first time I seen her was in this movie. Also a scene I will always remember the best. I was so little and don’t know why but I always thought that was the most magical scene. Strangely out of this whole movie. Maybe it was the love in this scene. 😢
