I always wondered what made Toodles loose his happy thoughts & leave Neverland. He always seemed like a sweet (old) man who never really grew bitter like Peter. It would have been nice to see Toodles & Thud reunite in Neverland.

@rain_man3981 I agree, I felt sad when Thud talked about his mother which shows how much of a lost boy he was making me wish that he and the other lost boys were found by their parents even though Peter made Thud the leader of the lost boys by giving his (Peter) sword to him. However, if the other lost boys were found by their parents (including Rufio), the parents of Rufio would look and feel sad that their son has died since he was killed by Hook.

This scene is crushing. This kid has been "lost" in Neverland for over 80 years, and his happiest memory is still his mother. A woman who died long ago, mourning the son who disappeared one day and she was never able to find again. Excuse me, I need to be alone for a while... 😢

It is also possible Thud was an orphan as Tink and Peter only rescued those who had no one to care for them It could be his mom died when he was young and he was found by Tink or Peter and brought to Neverland Never the less his memory of her has kept his happy thought alive all this time.
@Shanethefilmmaker9 ай бұрын
@@mckenzie.latham91 That is a possibility. His first intention was bringing Wendy, the first girl he took to Neverland, to be a maternal figure. So that he could keep them more in line. So him adopting Thud post mom death is a possibility.
@mckenzie.latham913 жыл бұрын
I really like how Hook kept the peter pan tradition of mothers and motherly love...and how it effects characters, that person whose there to take the fear and pain away when you’re hurt and sad Maggie much like Wendy remembers her mother and the love she had for them Peter can’t remember his mother or parents other than how they had planned his entire life for him and how he wanted to get away, and yet when he came over, he was adopted by Wendy and had a real mother again Meanwhile as in the book, Hook had a terrible mother whose abuse and etc. made him bitter, and incapable of understanding love he did not have the loving caring mother that wendy/her brothers, peter or other had and yet what i find so sad and interesting is that when Hook is about to be devoured by the Croc clock, he calls for his mother, immediately the scary and daunting villain is no more and he’s back to that childlike wish for someone to take the fear and danger away I love this movie and franchise so much man.

This gave me chills. This kid was great in this scene. I love the idea of a happy thought making you fly. In a way its metaphorical. A happy thought may make you fly not in the sense that you actually do but in the sense that it makes you feel elated and ready to go out and gave the world as Peter does Hook. Such a wonderful amd magical movie. Maybe Robins truly flying now. R.I.P. Robin and to all those passed on who still provide happy thoughts for us earthlings here down below.

All of us who have had good mothers, should always be thankful for them. We should also pray for those who don't...because there's so many of them in today's corrupt world. Women are being raised to believe that marriage is a curse and children are a burden, when the truth is often the exact opposite. No mother is perfect, but there's still tons of them who do the best they know how every single day. My Mom passed away in 2015, and I said this at her memorial: "She was no saint, but she had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I knew."
@mckenzie.latham91 Жыл бұрын
I think it's the opposite, people are not having families or children because they can't take care of them They don't have the resources to give that child a stable life and other people want to have their lives before they have kids As so many women had their lives changed by a kid too early, which stopped them from having a life of their own People should be allowed to have kids when they wish, not forced to marry and have kids young and not have a life of their own first and come to the desire to have a kid when ready. A lot of bad mothers are people who should never have had kids in the first place, but did Or were not prepared or capable of supporting them..

What I like about this scene is that when Thud talks to Peter, he speaks to him like he's still talking to his childhood friend. One he hasn't seen in years. Whereas Peter opens up more to Thud because Thud gave him a genuine chance, regardless if he grew up. Meaning he'd do the same for Tootles if he showed up too, as well as allowing Peter to warm up to talking to kids to make up for his absentee father stuff and be a better parent. Then you can see that Peter's slowly remembering stuff, with his old friend's help.

This is a great scene, however, the words at the end are wrong. I wish it was true that all boys had loving mothers. Unfortunately, that just isn't so. Some grow up without mothers altogether, while others like me grew up with an abusive mother that left them wishing they had no mother at all, mothers that did things like call them a worthless and no good son to their face as a response to "I love you," and then are further marginalized by attitudes like this in which the preservation of popular societal myths are more important than those getting hurt by them.
