Good day Sir Tod. As your busy schedule permits, would you please share the approximate angle that you set your platform to, so I can use this as a starting place for the occasional sharpening of the outside of the tool I acquired from you a few years ago. Thanks in advance for your time, BC

Thanks for watching and the comment. Measuring the bevel angle of the Hook Tool it is about 60 degrees. Essentially I move the platform to accommodate the angle needed. Here is a link to a short video where I show the sharpening of the hook tool. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHqviZ2VYreXoa8

Roy, the bevel on the Hook Tool is about 40 degrees. I just match the platform angle to the tool in most cases.
