I applaud your innovations, great job John! On the other hand I just can't justify 20$+ price mark. Have been using my chinese phunel bowl from Ebay, around 4 years now... haven't noticed any significant difference between chinese or Tangiers medium. At the end of the day it is only the bowl...

There is a big difference between that Chinese mass produced bowl and a hookah John bowl. Every single bowl is made by hand off the potters wheel the amount of skill it takes would blow your mind it's literally one of a kind hand made hookah bowl. You get what you pay for quality over quantity. I'd rather drive a Mercedes than a Kia.

I agree about quality and craftmanship. I am from Russia and a friend of mine asked me to order some copy of tangiers pico bowl. It may be cheaper, but the quality of painting and shape was no match with original pico. Same goes for our local alien copies, as I seen on the pictures. Although these copies are very popular, because vast majority of the people in Russia cannot afford to buy original ones and pay so much for shipping. Hell, these copies are not affordable too, for some people.

Haze can take a lot of heat and you need to over pack the hell out of it.

***** Poking a hole in the middle will not have any negative effect but what it will do is keep the foil from getting sucked down over the spire. Ive always Poked a few small holes over it and Ive never had to use the paperclip/toothpick or any other method to keep the foil from sagging onto the phunnel.

Interesting. Using the alien phunnel I had the exact opposite effect. I never tried it with my tangiers pico because I assumed it was like that for all phunnel bowls

unexpected reply i can imagine the tobacco to start burning while sticking onto the foil tho i had happen this alot and it always gave me some unpleasant caughing.. might be a different case with tangiers - i had this tobacco only 2x times in my life cos it is very hard to get in germany i also ordered your ferris bowl 5 min earlier from german hookah shop "shisha world" they had em on stock which is kinda rare since all the usa stuff is mostly sold out so i gave it a go while they still had em.. even if i had to pay ALOT for a bit of formed clay i hope they are worth the money i paid for and youre not just seeling sea monkeys at this point i also hope they work along with the brohood fireflower but srsly smoking 20 g of tobacco is insane man if you do this on a daily dosis you gona turn into a simpson soon
