How do u think this 9wt will handle a sinking line w a longer head like 46ft

No problem, just pull in some of the head before the lift.

Peter, if looking for a great all around 8wt for bonefish to carp would you still suggest the NRX+S, or if they have the means would you point straight to the Asquith?

The NRX+ In performance shootouts, the Asquith edges the NRX+ by a teensy-weeny amount. I own the NRX+ and I had an Asquith 8 wt. demo rod for a couple of years. The NRX+ action suits me a little better and I definitely would take it for carp fishing. I'm just waiting for bass opener and I'll be out with it looking for carp as well.
