Hooker Meadows | Sequoia National Forest

Today Duane heads back out for a mountain adventure in the BlackRock area of Sequoia National Forest! He points his 2021 GMC Canyon 4WD up many new forest service roads to find unique finds and a good place to camp for the night. One casualty did happen when his chair blew into the fire when the wind picked up.

Thanks so much steve! Hopefully it flowed well or that the pacing is was good. The funny part is when I got home I was worried I didn’t have enough footage. Even with the things going wrong it was a good trip and I’m definitely looking forward to another trip!

Just like in life, when you hit a road block.. don’t give up, find another way. Sweet little spot! What lights are those? I need them! Also, spaghetti with meat sauce is the best mountain house! Great video Duane!

Hey steve! They are the trail hound lights. Very small and work pretty good. www.rei.com/product/159147 I haven’t tried that one yet, definitely have to pick that up. Apparently my local stores have been cleaned out so very limited selection. I guess everyone is getting ready to head out! It was a good trip and nice to get some truck time again!

Oh I don’t think it’s brave. It’s just nice, calm, and peaceful. Yeah the whole chair thing was a bummer and I’m surprised I caught it on camera. I’m just glad it didn’t cause a bigger problem. I’m looking forward to when they start unlocking those gates!

Outstanding! It was definitely fun to check out more of that area. I do want to try to get to Monache Meadows this year. Although it sounds like a lot of people go out there though.
